Nike introduced the Vapor Laser Talon yesterday, which is the first football cleat to ever use 3D printing technology.
Nike is always trying to change the landscape of footwear and through their latest innovation, have found a way to provide an improvement on an athlete’s Zero Step. Nike worked with sprinter Michael Johnson along with a team of elite trainers on the newest technology being applied to the Vapor Laser Talon.
“Nike’s new 3D printed plate is contoured to allow football athletes to maintain their drive position longer and more efficiently, helping them accelerate faster through the critical first 10 yards of the 40” said Johnson. “Translated to the game of football, mastering the Zero Step can mean the difference between a defensive lineman sacking the quarterback or getting blocked.”
Look for these to be available in select Nike accounts shortly.
