Northern Lights Nike SB Dunk Mid

This SB Dunk Mid is part of the Nike SB July 2009 line up, and when we posted their July ‘09 releases we didn’t have any info on the inspiration. Thanks to NSB we now have the scoop, and we have learned that Nike SB was inspired by the natural lights display in the sky that usually takes place at night called the Aurora Borealis aka the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights Dunk Mids are now available, so swing by your local Nike SB account for a closer look.

    Their inspiration makes these kicks fire for me, like most SB’s are. Take away the nic-name sometimes and you might have a different result.

    23edge – I grew up in NC, all you see is AF1 mids. It wasn’t till I really got into shoe collecting back in 03 that I found out the AF1 mids was disliked by sneakerheads, I still say White on White mids over lows till this day………Dunk mids on the other hand, eh. Theres a couple I can rock with though.

  14. G roc have u ever owned a pair of mids?? there not that bad, and the concept for these are fire, but man it didnt come out as nice as it coulda, whyyyy is the shoe brown

    ^^^^^^^Yo, 23edge….I love mids! My jeans cuff just right with the tongues sticking out. I only got a few pairs of mids, but the ones i do have are in heavy rotation.

    Oh yeah, “Northern Lights” Mids? Dope concept, but I’ma have to see something up close to make a decision. Maybe I’d wear these on a camping trip!

    I saw these for $80; but it was a high top.. I would have copped.
    Instead got the “wet floors’ high top dunk…
