Yesterday was the release of the Nike x Parra x Patta Air Max 1 at Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer. With much hype around the shoe, many were already camping the day prior without even knowing if the shoe would officially drop. TSG Vagrant was there to capture a few pictures of the release. That wasn’t the only thing I walked away with…
It was a pretty hectic morning and afternoon. There were many people already there when yours truly arrived around 10:30 am (Mercer opens at 11:oo am). With no idea if the shoe would release today, chance and luck were the words for the day. Below is a small pictorial of the event. At the end, 41 pairs were sold through a raffle and the rest is history.

I’ve already seen ebay sellers asking $600+ for these. I think these kicks are awesome but there is no F-in way I’m diggin that deep into my pockets for them. oh well I guess I Will just sit and wait patiently for a reasonable pair of sz12′s to pop up.

The staff at 21 Mercer were jerks and so non chalant this past weekend when I asked about these kicks. Customer service at it’s worst over there. Nothing special in the store that you can’t get at HOH in Harlem or any other kicks store. On another note these are the best Patta’s to release. Re sellers can suck salt on these kicks. Well worth keeping IMO.

Well, I was first told that these were available on Tuesday, and I went there and got an attitutde from the guys on the floor.
I swear, their customer service is horribble (with the exception of the shorty that’s in there; the other guys could learn a thing or two from her).
So this whole raffle thing was a last minute attempt for them to save face – that ‘ish is weak.

These arent all that, just all the HYPE.. I wasnt even trying to sweat this release.. Some ppl are super dedicated when it comes to shoes, a lil bit much, IMO. Its just kicks.
Solecollector now have the official release dates for the Cool-grey 11s, flint 13s, white-true red 13s, bordeaux 7s, white cement 3s, and all black 13s confirmed!!!!
Truthfully, I don’t know how this dude Vagrant copped a pair. I’m not hating and props to him and everybody else that got a pair. However, that raffle was real suspect and it seemed like a lot of the people that “won” knew each other or someone working at Mercer.
Def a nice shoe but any store who does a raffle for these is lame it should be 1st come 1st serve and limit 1 per customer if anything but whatever I’m done paying more then retail for shoes now its starting to get a lil outta hand like people are saying 600 to 900 for a pair of these kicks for them people who are resellers your fucking lame and ruin it for people who really wanted and didn’t get these

The shoe games has it ups and downs, you can’t win them all. I flew all the way to Chicago to Buy a pair of all Black Air Yeezy’s left the mall with nothing but wet socks.
The only thing a collector or customer shouldn’t deal with is Bad customer service that SH@t is a NO GO!
Idea: Report them get their name call Nike, Footlocker, Finish line and Champs Corporate office and tell them what happen. Call a day or two after the release that way they will know how made you really are.

Its cool to resell if you’re not an employee or the manager. I walked into the my Local Footlocker and the Manager tried to sell me the Motor Sports VI’s for $350 the day after the release.
Sometimes you have to pay over retail to get what you really want.
Thats cool ive gotten every pair of shoes ive ever wanted on time or before so…..you can keep that. As for your one pair of shoes you got please belive I have 5 for every 1 you think is hot, exclusive, limited, rare, og, vintage, signed, player edition, player exclusive, never came out yet, or never will come out, cause I have all of the above.
