Rebel Skull Nike Air Max Collection

Are you a rebel?

Don’t the answer the question because it doesn’t matter. You don’t have to be a rebel to partake in his new Air Max Collection that features an Air Max 1, Air Max 90 and Air Max 95.

The Rebel Skull pack pays homage to Olympian runner Steve Prefontaine’s high school crossbones logo. Each model features the Rebel Skull logo on the tongue.

All three models are currently in stock. Links below to cop.

The 95s are the best pair imo.

Sheesh, of course I was checking for the am1 and gotdamn they’re ugly.

  • I’m noticing something odd with some of Nike’s 2017 output.

While the rebel skull may be a tribute to Steve Prefontaine’s HS logo it opens the door for consumer confusion. First the lifting of what looks like the Supreme vibe on the AF1 emblazoned, especially the white and red pair and now a logo that could be mistaken for a really bad Mastermind knockoff.

I don’t believe these things are coincidences and Nike might want to consider what this does to the brand image, reputation and name. Saucony used to regularly reverse out collab CW’s and sell them as GR’s while also releasing collabs that were scrapped as GR’s.

This all eventually takes a toll on who will partner with you if they realize you’re going to do nothing in the end but heavily lift their work vs being heavily inspired by it.
