Reebok Kamikaze 2010
Remember the Reebok Kamikaze? The Kamikaze is Shawn Kemp’s signature basketball sneaker from the mid 90′s. Reebok is finally going to bring them back, but the new Kamikaze has been upgraded. Let’s just the say the Kamikaze 2010 gives off a futuristic vibe. Hexalite technology has been replaced with Reebok’s HexRide technology. Other features include:
· An anti-friction inner lining
· A traditional herringbone outsole
· A customized stability foot plate
· Impression-molded foam in the midsole
· Leather and mesh in the upper
Most people would prefer for Reebok to re-release the original version, but looks as if Rbk had different plans for the Kamikaze retro. According to Slam, the Kamikaze 2010 will hit Reebok retailers sometime in 2010.
How do you feel about the new and improved Kamikaze?
I think Reebok should have re-released the OG model. I’d like to see these in person, but I def like the OG Kamikaze’s better.
Awww… I loved how Hexalite felt. One of the better cusioning elelments of the 90s imo. I dont know much bout this HexRide though

^Good question, Mello. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Reebok will bring back the Shaqnosis or Frank Thomas “Big Hurt”.

Bring on the retros! Show some love to Seattle, Reebok. We already lost our BBALL team, can we get our fallen (cracked-out) hero’s shoes back in stores?

Man….I must say. I saw the Enlarged Bold print with the name Kamikaze and almost sh*tted my pants…until I saw that extremely ugly design connected to the text below. Reebok was in there prime, basketball wise, back when the 1st Kamikaze’s came out and the Questions! Now the outcome is this tasteless…comfortable…yet unappealing piece of rubber and fabric(the technology may be impressive though). Can you imagine the OG Kamikaze’s in different colorways? Reebok must not be hurting because they sure lost there fire! Sorry but I fell in love with the kamikaze’s as soon as I saw them under my Christmas tree. I liked a few other pair that came out…but never wore a pair of Reeboks again after the kamikazes~1~
G=Roc the only Reeboks I ever owned where the Zebra Big Hurts (I would love to see those again), the Blue and white Kamikazes, pumps and blacktops, the gry/blk triple dueces, and the bump and runs with the clear bottoms
I had the OGs when I was in middle school and I used to love those shoes. I was the frist person in school with them and I thought I was the sh!t. I’m basis as hell to Nike but every couple years I try to see if I can find them again. If Reebok were to release them I would wait in line for them like they were Space Jams LoL….
They did good with it… not that anyone will buy it… but they did good with it! Yes, I agree that RBK would be smart to drop some retro’s other than the Q1

The Kamikaze and Grant Hill FILAs were so underrated at the time becuause of the Jordan XI…. That J shut the whole shoe industry down that year (and rightfully so)….. Looking back, I regret not getting both of those joints….. ATLien_Smoke..I feel you on the NIKE/JB for life but back in 95-96 these kicks were out of control. Might have to go and find those FILA retros…..LOL
Crazy, I was the frist person in middle school to get the first Grant Hill’s too. Couldn’t nobody tell me sh!t for those 2 years, LoL. I got them again when they came out a couple months ago. Those are the only 2 pair of shoes I’ve bought that weren’t Nike.
Wow ummmmm massive fail IMO…you were doin’ good with your 2010 line up RBK but these set you back a bit. Those instapump fury 2010′s are fire though; focus on those and let these fade to black.
Self-Correction ~ RBK needs to drop some OG retro’s… not all the lifestyle retro’s they have been dropping.
I don’t know if we’ll ever see the originals come to life. not after the messy divorce between kemp and reebok. I don’t think they want anything to do with the originals because they scream kemp so much. the originals represented everything that kemp was back in the day. but while they look nowhere near as cool as the original i must say these are the first pair of reeboks in years that look pretty good and i bet they’re better performance wise than the originals. I’ll probably try to get them next year
They should have the same design, or look of the originals, but upgrade the soles, and insides. The look of the originals is what made them so popular. Please keep the look the same as the Kamikaze 1 or 2.
