Reese Forbes’ Denim Nike SB Dunk Returns As A Hightop

The return of Reese Forbes’ Nike Dunk… with a twist.

When Nike SB first started getting things poppin’ in 2002, skater Reese Forbes was the go-to guy for a few Dunks. Reese dropped what was once considered “heat.”

People old enough to appreciate the glory days of Nike SB still consider his work as heat.

As of late, Nike SB has been bringing back Dunks but with a reserve cut. For example, this Dunk High was originally released as a Low.

People who have always wanted this Dunk in their collection don’t have to worry about breaking the bank because retail is $100.

What does this mean for the value of the Lows?

You can grab a pair on February 23 on

I feel the same way about the Dunk. That white wall midsole looks so much better. Although some Dunk CWs pull off the colored sole better than the UB

These are nice. But the lows were where it was at. I’ll probably be passing on these. But thanks for the Info G. The value of the lows won’t be affected.

Meet tg 4 the outlet come ? let the new age heads spend theirs on the boost which I’m not mad at

  • You ain’t never lied. I’m seeing a lot of excitement for this release which is expected but also shocking, if that makes sense.

I agree that these might pop up at the outlets. But some still like rockin kicks ASAP, so I understand people pulling the trigger on a $100 shoe so they can rock right away.

And yes, if this were 10 years ago, it would be CRAZY come release day.

  • Ha! You not rockin with Boost?

I feel like everyone can still do both. You don’t have to fully convert to Boost, but adding it to the rotation is a wise move, imo.

  • WOW! Talk that Atlanta talk. lol

That def used to be my go-to spot. First pair of SBs I ever copped was at Strat – Unlucky SB Dunks. I had JUST missed the Lucky, and size 13 was on hold for Killer Mike.

  • That will be very impressive if that happens.

  • That’s what’s up! I can’t remember the last pair I copped. I still rock a pair every now and then. I recently wore Hawaii’s.

  • Lol. I bet! Nike SB trying to get that old thang back.

  • No problem! You think so? I feel like a lot of the SBs lost major value. There’s only a few pairs I see people breaking bread for – Tiffs, Unkle, Pairs, Pigeon, and a few others.

  • True! The white midsole just makes so many shoes look better.

Kinda like your point on white Boost – it just looks better.

Any old sole Dunk with a nickname is still holds a little value. The new sole collabs not so much. I’ve been thrifting them for a min. It’s kept me afloat w no job for a while.

Seriously, I’m surprised at how many people seem not willing to buy adidas AND nike/jordan. Variety is the spice of life folks! My only issue is how difficult it is to get most adidas (NMD and UB).. and no, it’s not because of their popularity, it’s because of how limited many of the releases are.

Just threw in hawaiis last night, like “why not!” still love those

  • Nikeinda(well, u know)

I bought my 1st pair of sbs there when I moved to Atlanta…might have been the Brian Anderson. Since I live right over by E ATL Village that’s my go-to spot for dunks. Wish I could’ve copped the Lucky dunks #L

  • Heezyholly

Shit be hard as he’ll in Europe to get a pair all the pin roll ppl be snatching everything off the shelf lol

My thing is: Just rock what you like. If its predominantly one brand…cool. If its a solid blend of everything under the sun….cool, too. But NO ONE has an equal amount of shoes from each of 5 or 6 differents brands in his/her collection.
