Rising Sun Insole Gets Sunburned
The Rising Sun Air Jordan 12 already hit retailers and was set to release this Saturday, October 24th. By now, you’ve probably heard about the hiccup in the release. According to sources, a specific country is outraged over the insole. Will the Rising Sun insole stop Jordan Brand from releasing the sneakers? Perhaps JB can just do a insole swap, and then everything will be ok. According to the image above, it looks as if the Rising Sun insole isn’t irreplaceable. Props US11

I bought the black/baby blue 12′s today. They had the Rising Sun’s too in adult, kids, and even baby sizes.

Know when with the HOSOI VANS i never heard anything wrong with them using the Rising Sun. The 3rd HOSOI VANs bottoms have half the Rising Sun on each foot. Thats on the SOLE of the shoe. Same thing with the Jordan Insoles, your walking on the sole. Whats the difference ???
All I know is that when I do buy a pair MINE better have the OG insole and NOT some replacement.
and If stores are just going to send back or throw away the insoles Im going and ask to keep them so I can give them away on ebay.

i seen em last week on up coming display in hi l,and mall and i was @ the trap house and 3 people had em on.but the insole is what made em good

thats wierd the shop i work at in pa the insoles had the rising sun on them…
what does it matter, its not like you can see the insole without taking off the shoe first anyway. who walks around with their shoes off to show off the insole, nobody, so whats the point !?!?. but then again, i guess if a company was trying to put the confederate flag on a shoe, i’d be outraged, so i can see where the problem is, but why snatch the shoe off the market now, we already know the story about the insoles and some ppl have already copped their pair, it’d be easier if they offered the customer the opportunity to keep the original soles or purchase replacements, simple as that…

I understood why that “specific country” boycotted the rising sun insoles….its all politics & bullsh!t….but hey, they made Jordan Brand swap em so can’t nobody front or hate on that.

Nah, I’m supposed to be retired from collecting period. But I guess I’m just bad at it because I walked out of the mall today with a new pair of 12′s.
That specific country is korea, because they hate japanese in certain ways. To be specific, that japanese flag was used when japan took over korea so that’s why they didnt want that. Also to back up my statement

They’d have to call em back. The sun on the insole is the only thing that resembles a rising sun on the shoe.

Now, having the Rising Sun insole because you got em early may really mean something.
Its an easy pass for me. with all the heat coming out soon like the space jams, white/rd 12′s, 6′s, etc. they will be on the clearance racks anyway regardless of what soles is in them.
i hate when this happens for reall i saw alot of hate when it was posted first BEFORE the insole thing…i always liked them soo a retro card and a recall??? i think i made a good choise the first time

I think JB purposely made the Rising Sun 12s with the “rising sun” insole. It caused some controversy and now it’s being recalled.
I remember when the Bred 1s were released and the NBA banned them. That helped NIKE sell more shoes. This is working in NIKE’s favor. If you have the Rising Sun 12s with the “rising sun” insole, you have a pair worth keeping. If you have the pair with the plain white with the red jumpman, then with all the hype I’m hearing, you have a NOT so special pair… if you believe all the hype.
Why dont you tell anybody “specific nation” is KOREA.
The nation where still try to sue money from Japan because of WW2.
Its good case to let the world know what kind of people they are.
All I gotta say is that I feel the same way about vans that the pack does
i got mines, the insole is special, these will be hyped up fsho…so if you dont got bread to cop the special ones you will for sure get the all white insoles w/red jumpman on clearance for $125…maybe $120 like the nubuck 12′s…however, i got mine for $140 out the door locally….i’ll pay the extra 15-20$ for the “recalled pair” not to mention i got em 2 weeks early….cant hate on that!

i hate ppl who speak about jordans and dont know wtf they are saying (whats the diffrence in the rising suns!?) first off get your sneaker anatomy up! i have the limited rising suns with the jap insoles and my pair doesent have the patend leather and my insoles are worth more than the shoes its self…..-_- fake snkr hdz.. i thought those ppl died out
