Ronnie Fieg teams up with England based Grenson to work on three special pairs of high quality boots.
Fieg needs no introduction but for those who don’t know too much about Grenson, they have more than 100 years of experience when it comes to making footwear so they’re no slouches to quality and control.
Here’s what Ronnie Fieg had to say about the collaboration:
For my first project with Grenson, I wanted to use premium leathers they haven’t used in their line and offer colorways that are classic but will still catch your eye. The end result was a collection dominated by contemporary design aesthetics backed by this 140 year old historic company.
The new Spike V and Fred V are re-worked in premium waxed/burnished grey leathers while below sits a durable Vibram sole. The idea for the black Fred came from personally needing and wanting an all black brogue boot and I felt like this rich black waxy/oily leather and Commando sole was the perfect balance. The Spike duck boot features a two-toned design marked with its ridged toe and smooth upper body, while the Fred complements any outfit with its sleek brogue detailing. It was extremely important for people to see the shoe and still know it was a Grenson style, so the added red leather heel spike lets people know it’s not just a regular in line version but something truly special.
