Sneaker Freaker New Balance 850 “Skippy”
What would it look like to use kangaroo leather on a lightweight performance shoe? Hmmmm… Enter the SNKR FRKR x New Balance 850 “Skippy”.
Here is some sneak peak images from the latest Sneaker Freaker magazine. Its a New Balance 850 model made from real Kangaroo leather. This is the kind of leather normally used on soccer cleats. A few benefits are, it can be cut down to a very thin layer but still retain it’s strength (one of the strongest in similar categories), more resistant to abrasions than cow leather and offer, through time, the softest comfort around. Colorway is interesting with some nice neon on the ankle collar, complimented with black, some white accents and tan. No release date yet. More info as it comes.

I’ll be the first to say that “Kangaroo leather” sounds crazy. If you know anything about Sneaker Freaker Mag and were their based, it makes perfect sense mate!
