Sneakerology 101 College Course
Here’s some of the most interesting college news we’ve seen in a while. Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA is now offering a Sneakerology 101 course. For years people have placed 101 on different titles when referring to education. Example: TSG’s very own Shoe Class 101 and Young Jeezy’s Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 album, etc. In this class students will learn about the 1970’s sneaker roots to the influence Hip Hop made to the Basketball scene, and even the internet.
In this class Kool Bob’s (Bobbito Garcia) book “Where’d You Get Those” is recommened as a reference book as well as sneaker sites. Do you think anyone will write on paper on TSG? this is crazy! a real sneaker class in college. i bet they don’t even talk about fakes in that class. good read though and phil knight might be the teacher
I would much rather save me $300+/credit hr & just look up the info. there are that many resources available that u shouldn’t have to pay to learn about sneakers

YEAH I AGREE WITH ELMERTIO…I TOLD MY SOCIOLOGY TEACHER THAT I WAS WRTING MY TERM PAPER ON SNEAKERS AND THE EFFECT IT HAS ON THE WORLD..AND SHE LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS NUTS…LOL..LITTLE DID SHE KNOW THAT ITS A CLASS NOW IN COLLEGE…I GOTTA SHOW HER THIS ON NEXT MONDAY….I WOULD TAKE THIS CLASS FOR SURE..CUZ YOU MIGHT GET SOME GOOD SNEAKER CONNECTS…AND MEET CRAZY HEADS LIKE YOURSELF
I can only imagine the assignments…1) Camp out for an exclusive drop 2)Interview people in the flea market, Wal-mart, etc. on whether they’re aware about fakes, if they wear fakes, do you care if you wear fakes, etc.
The teacher will probably assign this website as study material. Yo G-Roc, you should get a cut from the tuition!

here you can just sign up for a class and learn “everything”:P then everyone can be sneakerheads. not just those interested.
I have spent several years trying to learn what I know today and you tell me I could learn it all over a semester? but still. the real sneakerfreakers will allways know the little extra details;)
NOOOO haha i thought kent state was cool b.c we’re getting a class about Adult Swim…but damn i wouldnt even have to show up for this class but i would for sure..bring in some of my kicks for show and tell haha

I live down the street from Carnegie Melon!! I go to the Art Institute though. I’m going to call them up and see if i can take this class =)
