Quality is CDP (Crap.DooDoo.Poo) on these bastard blk/blue XI’s (I would never call these Space Jams) And theres no way in hell I would get a second pair if they release around Christmas.

you would think after all the hype and constatly pushing them back NIKE would get these right! But once again due to the lack of quality in retros looks like it gonna let us down again. For some reason I’m not as excited as I should be for these space jams(along with all these “heat” releases in 2010)
The release date as of right now is December 24th… not Black Friday as first reported.
The quailty is what it is, but if u missed in the first release you have to cop these none the less. So I will cop a pair but maybe multiples if I feel there decent enough, and as far as packaging that part Jb didna very nice job on.

Sorry about my lack of enthusiasm lol! That is what I sound like when I am excited… Im just real laid back. If I saw MJ himself in the flesh, on the inside I would be acting like an Nsync fan who just had Timberlake’s sweat drip on their shirt but on the outside I stay fairly reserved. I was excited however but also slightly dissapointed the more I had inspected them. There are quite a few things that didnt sit right with me, the warped ankle area was just the most obvious. There were glue marks on the patent area, the leather on the heal had been put on a little slopy AND the side panel of one of the shoes already had a fat crease on the patent leather?!?! How do you crease the SIDE of the damn shoe? Anyways, I am happy I got them since I had spent all my hard earned savings for the concords back in ’01 (I was in high school so I was broke) so I missed the Jams… and I still “miss” them now like someone else said on here, they arent really space jam XIs they are retro XIs in a black varsity royal and white makeup. But F-it I just love shoes.

G-money, The OG release of the Space Jams (2001) said “Jumpman Jam” on the tounge these say exactly what every other pair of XIs say “Jumpman Jordan”… There was a sample pair I had seen a loooong time ago of Space Jams that read “Jordan Jam” on the tounge but they were never released to the public that way, if Im wrong someone let me know. As far as fit goes, like I said the CDPs to me are not wearable they really hurt my right foot and are pretty tight. These however got a better “rating” from me bc they fit true to sz and when I tried them on they felt (comfort wise i.e. cusioning) more like the OG and first retro release XIs. I remember lacing up my first pair of OG XIs (breds) back in ’96 and thinking to myself “these things feel like Im walking on pillows”, when I laced up my retro Concords I felt the same way… then I laced up the CDPs back in December and thought “wtf happened to these?!?!”. Do I feel that these new “Jams” are worth the price I payed for them? Quality wise that would be a big fat NO, would they even be worth the $175 retail price when they drop? Again a big fat no. BUT getting to spend all the time I want with my daughter and wife on Thanksgiving/ X-mas (whenever they drop now) without the sneaker stalker inside me saying… Sh*t I gotta get to the mall and sit in a line with a bunch of retard re sellers and kids spending their parents money for something they dont fully understand, that is well worth it. I got what I wanted from both ends of the stick… too bad the middle of the stick was the quality factor and they must have missed the cream filling on that ish.

^^^Congrats on the new addition! Prepare yourself, when mine was born I didnt buy kicks at all for about 1.5 years! I had a bit of chatching up to do… that I never ended up doing. Hate to say this but since were all sneakerfreaks I guess I wont get gunned down by any mothers (I hope) but my daughter was born ON the release day of the grape V retros… and damn did that suck! I love my kid to death dont get me wrong but just a day later and I could have bought a pair. Instead I was looking into the main entrance with a giant head trying to get out of it… and I still dont have a pair! Bummer. Anywyas enjoy lol!!!

I think at this point we all just have to assume that the quality on any new shoe isn’t going to be what it was on the OG or even previous retros from years back. As sad as it is to say, we will all still buy and JB knows that and therefore will continue to slack on the quality issue because we are all sucked into the nostalgia factor that all of these shoes bring to us in our own little way. For me, the Space Jam CW is a must cop-> childhood memories, the movie, etc. With that being said, I just paid $340 for my pair and they should be here next week. I will try and get a second pair for retail come nov. or dec. or whenever the heck they drop.

Judging from the video, and from what Nightwing2303 said about the shoe, it’s a piece of crap. An overpriced piece of crap too. If you all want to ignore that, and buy these anyway, then that’s fine. Seems like a waste to me. But it’s your cash, not mine.

I wouldnt say the quality is “bad” its just not what it once was. This is how JB and even Nike retros work now for some reason. They give us the model we want but not quite how we wanted/ remebered it. Oh well…. theyre good enough to wear!
