Today’s midnight releases was cool, me and my friend Ivan went up to the local mall in Vegas. We were inside the car and the mall security kept kicking everyone off the doors and will allOw people at 1130 to be by the doors. My friend is a manager at a store in the mall so we went thru the side doors kicked in his store then close to midnight we made our way to Finishline. Next thing I hear a scream so we ran inside next thing I see 20 people behind me by the counter. Got my 3s quality sucks. Jordans make fake Jordans but it does look sick on the feet but up close it looks and feels whack..
Out of town for Thanksgiving, so couldn’t go to my regular spot. Where I am (Naples, FL) there are NO SPOTS WHATSOEVER. Only a Finish Line, Champ’s (who didn’t get anything last night) and some place called Men’s Palace. Since I didn’t want to go to the mall at 4 AM for the III’s, I chose to wait online. After Footaction and Champ’s said I’d have so wait over 3 hours to check out, I finally ordered a pair successfully on NDC. I had it easy hahaha
My experience was pretty tame. Been in and out 30 mins to get the cement 3s. I got them surprisingly easy from the notorious Military Circle Mall in Norfolk, Va. Been there at around 5:30am to 6
I camped outside of Finishline for 6 hours. Hahaa.
Me and my roommate woke up around 4:00 to hit up Finishline which opened at 5:00. They didnt have my sz (13) so I had to run to champs which had a line of only about 3 or 4 people waiting for them to open at 6:00. One dude in line was copping the sz 12 and 13 but he had a friend who was waiting at Hibbetts though and he had her hold a spot in line for me so I eventually ended up picking up my black cements. Definitely the most work I’ve had to put in for a release in a couple of years.
Went to the mall for the midnight opening. Made it to finish line, they sold out within 5 minutes. So I had to wait to scheels to open at 5am. Waited in front of the gate and saw about 300 people waiting behind me and about 30 of them being sneaker heads. as soon as the gates open I ducked and rolled under the gate and made it to the athletic department.got 2 pairs..1 for me one for my bro. Mission was accomplished
I SLEPT…. TILL ABOUT 9AM. GOT UP AND WENT INTO MY CLOSET TO LOOK AT MY CDP IIIs.. THEN WENT AND COOKED SOME SCRAMBLED EGGS AND SAUSAGES. I WILL PROBABLY BE PROCURING THE NINJA TIMMY’S THOUGH.
I had my girl wait about 3.5 hours but she said it was just her and another chick but she was after a size 10 too… They only had two had each size . I’m a lucky dude…now it’s time for the black flips …
its been a while…but my story is camped out for 2-3 hours at the mall, got my black cements, wasnt that pleased with the product because i feel like jordan brand half assed their production, but w/e, half 5 hours of sleep, went to a DIFFERENT mall only to find out they had a full size run at finish line…
Waited until 9 pm (West coast time), tried snatching a pair of 3′s from finish line, east bay, footlocker to avoid the long lines. The servers crashed and by the time I was able to checkout, all 9.5 were sold out.
FML.
Should have waited in line.
Had horrible luck this year… Oh well I’ll probably cop some time later in the week.
This is the first year I decided not to cop anything. I’m actually proud of myself. I plan on buying a lot of Concords though.
I walked into jimmy jazz in the shittiest area of the bronx at 1230 and picked up two pairs. Dodged te neighborhood stick up kids and then went to footlocker and got two infant pairs for my son

I think the finish on these will make them look better after a bunch of wears. But the midsole is going to be a problem
got to the mall around 2:30 since Finishline opened at 3. it was a pack of about 30-50 sneakerheads in line at the main entrance. the lines at best buy, belks, and jcpenny’s were REDICULOUS! soooo after some shivering in the cold i started to see people crowd the door; it was soon to be opened. luckily i was a few hard steps away from the door. i got a solid spot as he pulled the lock and opened the door. when it opened we RAN! finishline is on the other side of the mall so it was quite a run(Mariner griffeys never felt so good!)so i got to the door maybe 5th. they hadnt even pulled the gate up. a mall employee walked by laughing “hahahaha yall ran and their not even open!” the finishline guy then passed out size cards. i didnt get my true size. which is a 11/11.5 bt i got a 10.5 they run a little big so with thin socks and their perfect. i paid my 170 and left. ironically, i went back to the mall earlier this morning with them on and the finishline dude saw me and said i should leave. people were fighting over them and tried ezel’em of someone’s feet a hour earlier. my mall trip was cut short! LOL
I went to call Foot Locker at midnite to no avail…The line was busy! So i thought i would be slick and order them online! Well FootLocker.com let me get all the way to check out to then have a stupid counter pop up telling me i had a 3 hour wait to finish the order. After waiting for 2 hours they let me get all the way to confirming the order only to tell me they were sold out. So called customer service and blasted them for having me wait. I wear a 13 so luckily they had a 13.5 left. I never read my card number that fast!

Im still thinikn bout grabbin a pair of 3′s, they still have 2 size 12′s @ the mall by the crib, no big deal if they sell. Been there done that! Flips are hotter and a must have.

my brother saved me a spot in foot locker at 34 st herald square the line for Macy’s was hella long when they opened the store people in front of us had alot of friends who skip the line people got mad the dude behind us was gonna fight them and fight this girl who knew some employee to try and get her inside other than that it was pretty smooth

….for me though I was also out of town in Indy. Woke up at 0330, to Castleton by 0350, Footlocker was sold out (must have opened at mid-night), went down to Champs by 0355, copped by 0405, back to my parents house by 0420 and back in the bed by 0430.
Woke up, adjusted my morning wood, stumbled downstairs in no rush to do a damn thing…..are a bran muffin and took my diabetes medicaiton, all washed down with some prune juice (OFC in this b’y#tch)….took a shower, rubbed one out to the sounds of Lionel Ritchie (Say you….say me!…..) then got dressed, went outside and noticed people were driving on the “wrong” side of the road! Then it hit me; I’M IN JAPAN, THESE LITTLE FOOLS DON’T EVEN F*** WITH BLACK FRIDAY!

Didn’t realize that the mall had opened at midnight, I went to a party and got home about 4:30am, woke up 7:30am to get my III’s and they were sold out in every store except Champs which had a size 12 (I wear a 13). copped those and went home. an hour later my dude called me from another shoe store told me he had 1 more size 13 left. Shoes gods spoke.
Went with a couple friends to a Downtown Locker room at 4 am for the 9 am release. We were first, but actually not by all that long.
STOOD IN LINE FOR ABOUT 2 HOURs IN THE BIG APPLE FOOTACTION 34TH ST AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE GARDEN, GOT A LIL 15 SECONDs OF FAME INTERVIEW WITH THE MAN HIMSELF “DALLAS PENN” (VIDEO “OCCUPY FOOTLOCKER” @ 3MINS AND 47SECONDS HE BLAST ME AND HAD “GROWN ASS SNEAKERFEIND” GOING ACROSS THE SCREEN). ANYHOW I MADE IT HOME WITH BOTH THE 3s n DUNCANS…………………. INTERNETS! INTERNETS! INTERNETS!
Mine story is pretty dope: Went to a Hibbetts Sports store down in Denton, TX (I go to UNT) that always gets releases but nobody really knows, or so I thought. Didn’t think that they would open early so I got there around 8am. (They usually open at 10) Got my TB IIIs from there thinking that they would have boocoo pairs left. Came into the mall and saw they were open, I was suprised but proceeded anyway. Ask the dude if they had a sz 11 he said they might have a sz 11.5. I said cool cuz I could wear either one. Dude came back and had the last sz 11 and they were the shoe display. I don’t know why but the quality on these bad boys was superb…
Was ready to go get mine from footaction at 9:00 at night was going to stand in line but figured I’m out in el Paso since I’m army Plus I wear a size 7.5 or a 8 but still like the thrill and convos you pick up and have in line meeting people seeing who got what and from where started playing spades for money and betting on the games time flew past and didn’t realize it was 11:40 was going to rush out to the mall but was like I have 01s and the pack so if I missed out I was good went home went to sleep woke up around 930 hit the shower called the connect up there he said my pair was still waiting and wondered why I wasn’t in line got em walked in while everyone else was still rushing around buying TVs and ipads got em put my flips on hold and two pairs of Concords on hold so ima good now I can’t wait to here the stories about Concords
My Homie waited in line for 5hrs and I waited 30min at Hibbett Sports we both got our kicks…..

I copped 1 last Sunday from him and was ready for pairs 2 and 3.
Up until then, I only had the 2001s and the CDPs. My CDPs are approaching beat status. So missing out on REE-stocking this year on these was NOT going to happen.
Around my way, 2 spots were opening early Black Friday morning . Foot Locker at 8:00am and an indie at 9:00am. I chose Footlocker because 1) it was earlier 2) indie spots are known at times to get a VERY LIMITED amount of kicks. So around 12:30 am I roll by Footlocker just to see if anybody’s camping. Sure enough, there was about 5 sn’eads outside of the Footlocker doing just that…one of which looked like he wore my size. But sleeping outside for these wasn’t an option. I’m rarely disappointed though when I go stand in a line. So, I go home, kick out some new art, and then come back at 6:30 am…
1.5 hours til store open. Everybody was kinda chill. Except on the west coast, cats don’t know NOTHING about actually LINING UP. All scattered and crap. But whatever. I wait for 1.5 hours…tweeting and ish…they open up the doors and hand out size cards. That’s when the sadness happens.
2 sn’eads had been there since 4am in the freezing cold and DID NOT get their sizes. Why? Due to the limited amount of pairs, 1 dude lost his pair to a dude that was earlier in line than he was. He wore a 10.5 and you KNOW that’s the FIRST to go. There was only 2 10.5s in the store. Yet he still got a size card. The other sn’ead wore an 11.5 but turns out his size was taken by the guy who wore the 10.5 who didn’t get any kicks and LEFT WITH THE SIZE CARD.
But, as it turns out, dude had actually given his size card to a chick in line who was waiting to get kicks for her HUSBAND WHO WAS AT HOME SLEEPING! (wow! That’s love ain’t it?) The even funnier thing about that was…I found out her husband doesn’t even wear a 11.5 … he wears a 10.5!!!
so, it’s my turn to get my card and I got the ONLY 13 in the store. Turns out dude that I thought wore my size, wore a 12. hahahahaha!
So, that was PAIR #2.
I roll back to my car & remembered there was a local FOOTACTION literally 5 minutes away from the Footlocker. So, I rolled over there to see what was up. I rolled up and there was about 4 cats outside waiting to cop, since they were letting people in 1 by 1 to cop the shoes. Finally they just opened up the doors because they saw it wasn’t a frenzy outside.
I went in. Copped PAIR # 3 and got Lil Ree his pair of size 1Y’s.
Came home…threw the 2011s in the stock room and put Lil Ree’s jointz by his closet.
MISSION COMPLETE.
Later that night, we went to the movies to see “ARTHUR CHRISTMAS” …
I rocked the 2001s while Lil Ree rocked the 2011s.
The past and the present and still…FRESH.
BOOM!
Addendum – when i rolled up to wait in line at the Footlocker, the lined swelled to about 20 ahead of me … none of them wore a 13.
Here’s another funny, YET sad story about the cats outside CAMPING.
One dude was there since 2 am. When he got his size card, which wasn’t his size, he starts bragging,
“I’M JUST GONNA SELL THESE ANYWAY.”
smh.
Maybe 40 minutes before opening…he girl rolls up to chill with him.
by the time the store opens, it’s probably 40 people in line total.
A few people start asking “is there any size 12 left?” before the cards get handed out.
Turns out … our WANNABE RESELLER got 1 of 2 size 12s.
He starts trying to SELL the shoe before their even in his hands.
So, then, one dude in line realizes he’s not going to get 2 pair of 11.5s.
The WANNABE RESELLER is like, “here just by mine.”
Dude is like, “how much?”
“$20″
SOLD.
WANNABE RESELLER takes the DUB and he and his girl start walking off.
Here’s where I bust up cuz I didn’t need to say the punchline…
WANNABE RESELLER’S GIRL SAID IT FOR ME!
she said,
“WHAT THE HELL?! YOU STOOD IN THE COLD FOR 6 HOURS TO MAKE $20??
WHAT KIND OF SH*T IS THAT?”
I chuckled and said to myself,
“what kind of sh*t is that … INDEED?”
I waited outside the mall for about an hour before they let us in. Most of the thousands were waiting outside Best Buy and Target. Me and another cat sprinted to FinishLine; I was first in line. When dude opened the gate he asked me what size I needed, then proceeded to tell me they had no 12s because the employees bought them. I immediately called eastbay and waited about an hour and a half. Ordered 2 size 12s from them, but found that when my bank was bought by another company last week, my debit card became worthless; this was about 12:15am. I drove home, waited til 6am, then hit another spot at its opening, and grabbed two pair. Then a day later (yesterday) my guy from another store called me and said he had plenty, so I grabbed another size 12. It was a crazy Black Friday, usually i have no issues with shoe releases, period. This one tested me, But worked out in the end.
So I go up to my local footlocker on Wednesday had my connect my money for my 3′s and walk out. He says since they’re doing a midnight release for a hour, come back around 1:30. Since I wear a 12 and being the a**hole that I am as soon as they say they the biggest size they have is a 9.5 people start getting out of line… I get in line behind the 2 people that are left. Go in grab my 12 and walk out with the biggest grin ever
Woke up at 5:30 with my paps, then we ran over to the mall. My cousin works at foot locker so we were aloud to get 2 pairs of tim duncans, 2 pairs of the lebron 9′s, and 2 pairs of the cement 3′s. Still havent worn any of them but cant wait to slip the black cements on monday to go to class in!!!

All the stories sound mediocre, I personally got the mall right after work which was 12:30, Walmart wad in the same mall and that was bananas, there was no parking do I parked hella far, those parking spots that r the furthest that u never see anyone ever park in, yea those, anyways I finally got to the mall and asked the security guards what time the sneaker stores opened and of course 4 different ones gave me 4 different answers, SMH, I scoped out the area just to make sure there weren’t any others lining up somewhere else, then I came across another security guard and he seemed to know what he was talking about so I listened and came back 2 hours later and to my surprise u was 1st, copped 2pairs but did waiting line outside the mall in the cold bit was worth cuz I was able to cop 2 pairs and yes the materials look weird, but at the end of the day we don’t give a crap cuz black cement 3s r nice! O yea to many dudes that don’t know shit about jordans or kicks in general were in line after me, you guys gotta step up your game, one dude said he got a pair of all black concords in 2009, I asked him if he was referring to the space jams and he was like “no man, the concords, you know the one comming out in December but all black”, in my head I was thinking of slapping him but I continued the conversation with this cat cuz it was hard taking my eyes off of his girl, she was Asian and was looking real good for being up @ 3am, she did look upset tho, LOL…o and this other dude in line was saying how much these shoes sucked and stuff but when I asked him if he was getting a pair he said yes non the less, to all you “cool guys”, stay home cuz you guys male no sense and look hella stupid when you open your mouth…laters readers…

In Tuscaloosa, AL for the holidays after spending 6 hours inline for mom’s a 46inch TV at target, rolled out of there at 1:00 am got to the mall at 4:45 and it had been open for an hour went to hibbett’s with my lil cuz and we both ask for our sizes his an 11 and mine a 13. The dude walks from the back and “i say he only got one box” we both look like i hope its mine but of course it’s the 11 so, i run down to footlocker which still has the gate down so i asked the dude what time they open he say’s what you trying to get 3′s size 13 he opens the gates give me the price and i swipe and i’m out. My cuzz tried to just buy his online but Nike said they sold out he was made as shit until we hit the mall.
Went to work while my cements sat in their box as they had been for a week… The benefits of copping early
Was pretty easy for me got to Lennox Foot Locker at 1 AM about 10-12 guys in front of me didn’t feel like waiting so I hit up my local spot at 4:30 AM got them at Footaction went down stairs bought another pair at Champs, but I’m mad I missed out on the $199 PS3 bundle deal at gamestop
I went to a footlocker in a mall in NJ. I went there at midnight. Footlocker opened at 7 am for the black cement 3s… and my god are these kids getting rowdy.
First off, it was the first time i saw kids getting drunk at a release. people brought henessy and wine!!! WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
There was easily 200 people at this one line. Not only was the line unorganized, but everyone decided to bum-rush the the footlocker line. aprox. 15 people were in front of me and by the time the bum rush was calmed down, i was about 40th SMH
the worst part about waiting was that it was freeszing cold outside, and everyone had to wait outside until 5 a.m. and while waiting in the cold, kids began tossing cups or soda and liquor randomly at people in the back of the line. THESE KIDS HAVE NO SHAME! They also disrespected the old security guards trying to stop the rowdiness by taking their name tags and messing with them.
The moral of the story is that about 80 percent of people who CLAIM to be “SNEAKERHEADS” are all a bunch of hypebeasts. disrespectful and inconsiderate people (at least in New Jersey) I was disappointed by the lack of common courtesy these people had. If I had to describe my experience buying my Air Jordan 3 Black Cements, I would say it was barbaric. 7 hours in that hell was not worth my sneakers…

I live in Atlanta, Ga. Let me tell you i was so pissed off. I went to 4 mall and 10+ different stores and still couldnt find a 13. Had to order from Flightclubny and pay 380 with shipping. Hardest work ive had to do for a par of kicks.
I was traveling for the Holiday so I couldn’t go to my regular spot. Instead of messing with the malls I hit the online sites HARD at 9 pm Pacific…… laptop, desktop, iphone, ipad….whatever I could find that had internet. Sites crashing left and right, Maintenance error pages and then finally after multiple reloads and refresh attempts for about an hour, Finshline.com comes through. Of course, with online you never know until you get the shipment confirmation email. Got mine on Saturday morning and delivery scheduled for TONIGHT!!!
