The LeBrons News: Next giveth and LeBron taketh away (Shady Release)

The hype for the release of The LeBrons block party at Next in Cleveland was overshadowed by shadiness on the part of ?????? you be the judge. Sunday Next was set to release 100 units of the Lebron VI in 4 versions, meaning there were 25 of each shoe; The Athlete, Wise, Biz and Kid. People were lining up since the previous night in the cold that Cleveland had to offer. Come opening day there were more than 50+ people lined up ready to purchase the new kicks.
Little did anyone suspect that Lebron James himself would set aside 16 pairs in the popular sizes leaving none for purchase. Sizes 8, 12, 13 and 15 were all set aside before the first guys (Brian and Matt) could even get a chance to buy! Wait, the plot thickens!
Two unknown guys cut the line and were allowed to buy these shoes before the first customers were allowed. Notice the trend? So if you haven’t followed instead of 100 units we are now down to 82 units when the time Brian and Matt are allowed in!

Once again, Next would like to thank all those people who came out to support the event. Especially those people who endured the cold and camped out the night before the event. I understand that there is some disappointment that not all 100 units were available at the time of the release. Unfortunately, Nike had a last minute request for 16 units (4 sets) of shoes that they had to remove from our allocation. It was not something that had been planned, nor was it something that we at Next could control. I understand that some of you were not able to get a shoe because of this, and for that we apologize. Again, it was not something that we at Next could control. Despite that, we hope everyone had an enjoyable time. – Next

G-roc im so happy you posted this…what happened was complete bullshit…we got there around 5 a.m. and i was 28th and my girl was 29th in line. cleveland finally had a reason for sneaker heads to camp out and this is how we get treated…i feel bad for matt and brian because those 2 assholes infront of them got there literally about an hour before they released the shoes but somehow got in first, i saw’em talkin to the owner of NEXT so im sure they were related or something..and how the hell can LBJ not get his own pairs outside of the release? i know they wanna keep the number to 150 each but seriosuly..he couldnt have took just a few pairs from each store rather than all 16 from cleveland. i went to NEXT on friday to talk to the manager and see how things were gonna go with camping out and shit since it was my first time and he actually offered me the LBJ’s for 250 and said i could get all 4 pairs that day (2 days before cleveland was releasing them) but he hadda call some1 first. he came back saying he couldnt do it, but that just goes to show how shady it coulda been. if i woulda got mine on friday there woulda only been 78 pairs lol. i was there for 11-11.5’s and woulda got them if they wouldnt have pulled all the 12’s and 13’s since i think only like 2-3 dudes infront of me wore my size. so any1 who wanted the 12’s-13’s were forced to get my size or a 14 basiacally.
NEXT, those 2 assholes that got first picks before matt and brian, and nike screwed up bigtime on this. i ended up with a size 10 athlete and a 9.5 business (which im gonna end up selling since they dont even fit) on top of it all they gave me the wrong drawstring bag that comes with the athlete..i got 2 business drawstring bags. its b.c NEXT had their bags already put together with the drawstring bag, stickers, and a poster so they could just slide your box of shoes in and rig you up. so not even thinkin i didnt look to check the bag and got the wrong one. so im sure im not the only person who got the wrong bag. it was my first ever camp out and one of the only ones that will porbably ever be in cleveland and they go and fuck it all up. sorry for venting lol but any1 who waited in that line over night was pissed off too.
oh ya, the only reason cleveland released on sunday instead of saturday was because “the king” was at the osu vs. penn state game and wasnt gonna be able to make it on saturday. well guess who didnt show up on sunday..you got it, no lebron in sight. whatta buncha bullshit. atleast kobe can come out and sign the McFly’s, which arent even his signature shoes, shows you how much lebron cares about his sneaker fans…
wow that was one shady release. why did lebron have to take pairs? i thought he got his stuff from nike directly.

It is unfortunate that so many sneakerhead wine so much and feel like they are owed so much. You are jsut a consumer and You are lucky you even got a release. Just because you wait outside does not mean you are owed anything. The fact you did not get your size or even shoes is just business. If you don’t like the way it was handled don’t support the bussiness.
Life’s not fair, nobody owes you anything, and you should be greatful that you even got a release.

Im not surprised!! That happens at campouts now a days i just hope nothing like that goes down on Thursday for the super limited release of the hyperdunks down here in ATL, because finally we get a exclusive release and if they fuck it up then alot of people will leave disappointed and heartbroken
im pretty sure the shoes were already released at all 6 stores by now getlacedout. i think the other 5 places dropped’em on saturday and cleveland was the last to do so on sunday

I FEEL THE PAIN, GOODFOOT RELEASES ARE ALMOST WORST THAN THAT, only reason i say goodfoot releases arnt as bad is cause the shoes arnt as rare as what those guys were lining up for, but at goodfoot, ppl come literally 30 minutes before hand and all just bud in line, just everyone at the same time, and im never near the front of the line to complain but theres always little kids who are too scared to say anything. WATCHIN THAT VIDEO MAKES ME SOOOO ANGRY, man groc u been the truth since time for posting stuff no other site posts

I was #25 in line. Only Queen James would take 16 pairs away from a 100 pair release. Only this ego-maniac would yank these shoes from “His Fans” when they had camped out, in the cold all night for a chance to get them.
Only such an ass would do this in his home town……where exclusive releases just do not happen.
