The Nike retro that we’ve all been waiting on is finally here. A 1996 classic returns from one of Nike’s best signature lines, the Air Penny series. Penny’s kicks were on point from the Orlando Magic inspired colorways to the hilarious Nike Ads to the lovely 1 cent logo.
Many will agree that the Penny II is the best sneaker in the Air Penny series. That explains why so people were looking forward to this retro release. Have you bought your pair yet? Don’t buy into the hype, instead buy them because you like them and remember the good ol Nike days. Maybe you plan on getting them tomorrow, or some might be waiting on the reviews. I keep them out of the box so I can peek at them walking past my room or just so I can open the closet door and say “Hi”. I smell em’… and you do too! Then I wear them around the house only for like a week before they go outside. My wife thinks I’m nuts! Yup! Yup!

I co-sign wit 4DRUMZ, I smell ever pair. If that scent was a cologne, that would be all I wear. Damn a new car smell, I want my new car to smell just like some new shoes!!! I have a sit down once a month with all of my shoes. I break them all out of the box and check up on each pair. Yeah, I’m crazy, that’s why I’m a sneaker head. I’m such a sneaker head in fact, I use shoe cleaner to wash my face!!! That last bit was a joke, but you get the point…

I agree with 4Drumz and Dj.Jbras. I leave them out for a sec and I def check up on them every so often. I call them my “kids” and if I could bottle that new kick smell…I would spray it around the house and on my sheets so I could have sweets dreams of Quickstrikes, Tier 0s, Jordans, and SBs…ahhhh… I digress. Dude was a fool wit it for this one but I completely feel him. So word is they are going to sit on shelves and be discounted? Word?!?!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to get my Penny’s, but after watching this dude and his love for his Penny’s it took me back to when I wanted them back in 1996 and I couldn’t get them. Yo Jacob, love the video and you made me run out my house and get two pairs. FYI some stores haven’t even gotten them yet, but Footaction was close to selling them out.
