YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  HAPPY 1 YEAR to TheShoeGame.com

The title says it all, but I have A LOT to say, so bare with me. 1 year already? Yes that’s absolutely correct. TSG was born September 2006, and time does fly. I don’t want to be too long, but those of you that know me or read TSG often know how I can be. Before I thank anyone, I gotta thank my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Without him I don’t know where I’d be right now. Honestly, I would probably be sitting in prison for the illegal stuff I use to be involved in, but thank God I’m FREE! I’m not trying to put all my business on the net, but I’ve been through and seen a lot in my life. It’s truly a blessing to still be living. All I’m trying to say is I’m thankful, and make wise decisions in life because you will be held accountable for EVERY decision you make in life. Either it’s right or wrong, bottom line.

OK, so back to the 1 year thing. I’m pleased to announce TSG made it to see another year. Like any business it started off super slow, but the site grew more and more as we worked HARD at putting together dope sneaker news and information. Big thanks to my sister and brother-in-law for paving the way. Calvin and Rina you rock! This entire website stuff was all new to me (still is), all I’ve ever known was eBay. That’s where the magic use to happen, and from time to time I still do my thing on the bay. As I’ve said before it’s funny, TSG’s original purpose was to sell sneakers. WOW is all I gotta say about that, but don’t lose faith, it’s still going down. I started messing around with updating people with news on the sneaker culture, and I was hooked ever since. This is going to be long, so let’s continue this after the jump.

At times I’ve felt like giving up, but it’s not as easy as it looks. TRUST ME! However I always knew it was somebody somewhere looking foward to reading TSG news everyday, so I forced myself to meet the needs of the people. I mean that’s the point of any business, to provide a service. I don’t care how you look at it, writing hundreds of sneaker articles is definitely a service. Not to mention writing all the other stuff. Now that I’ve made it to see one year I can honsetly say it was well worth my time.

I would like to thank every person that visits TSG daily or weekly, without you it would be no TSG. Thanks! I gotta shout out to all the supporters, haters, biters, and to all the people that’s been down since the beginning. I’ve learned a lot in a years time, from how to work new programs to coding plus a bunch of other complex stuff. This web thing is no walk in the park. I’ve also met some cool people along the way, and ATL has been a HUGE help. In case you’ve been under a rock TSG is an Atlanta based site.

PLEASE forgive me if I leave you out. As my UK people would say “many thanks” to my real homie and coach Mr. Polk aka Greg Street, TSG staff (Chris/DC21 & Ray), my family & friends, Zahirjooma, Sole Munki, Prestigious, Laced Up, The Athlete’s Foot crew, DTLR crew, Urban Fushion, Adidas Originals ATL (what up Dena), SoleFresh, and all the other stores in the A-Town. I can recall when I first started, people was like “The Shoe Game ???”, now it’s all good and they show TSG much love. I can’t forget the Kick Stand crew, Footwork Project, Chad, Rolling Out mag (Adam’s the man), and my ekin fam (Mac & Snuggles). THANK YOU!

Like I said many people have helped me along the way, especially other sites. Where would TSG be without NT and ISS? A big-massive-jumbo shout to Matt (NiceKicks), this guy is super duper cool and down to earth. He’s helped me and showed major love along the way. Be on the lookout for big things from us. Thanks to MaZe (KixandtheCity), he might have been the first person to post up TSG. Kevin and his dream team crew at Hypebeast has helped a lot too. Also, Complex Magazine (hats off), TheBroadKast crew, Mi Gente Clothing, Sneakerfiles, SlamxHype, HighSnobiety, Kix-Files, Leyp Crew, Irakny, Hip Hop Music Classic, Concrete Loop, and the longgggg list goes on.

OK, I think that’s all I have to say. At the end of the day I’m excited for TSG’s future and I would like to thank everyone that goes the extra mile to support us. Special shout out to all our daily readers, that says a lot! Also, to all the people that drop comments everyday or sometimes, thanks for expressing yourself. We will only get better, so stay tuned and keep it locked to TheShoeGame.com….we won’t let you down.

It’s going to be a lovely month and future as we celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and my birthday is also in September. I will also make it a point to improve in areas.
