TSG Feature: Nike SB Team Rider Interviews
TSG recently attended the Nike SB Nothing But The Truth in-store signing on November 3rd. This was originally set to be the official release date for the Nothing But The Truth DVD. While attending the event I had the pleasure and opportunity to interview pro skaters on Nike’s SB team; Danny Supasirirat aka Danny Supa (29), Daniel Shimizu (26), Chet Childress (32) and Todd Jordan (27). Each skater is a vital asset to both the skate community and sneaker culture. These guys are responsible for designing some of the most sought after SB Dunks to date. Some hold holy grail status which is attached with a costly price tag, while others offer dope themes and colorways.
Surely these names are well known amongst skaters and SB collectors, but in this series of interviews you will get to learn more about each skater. Find out where the inspiration came from for the colors selected for their SB’s, and their views on the Nothing But The Truth tour plus more! I hope everyone enjoyed part 1. Stay tuned for part 2 with Todd Jordan. All the guys were super cool, but me and Todd were talking for a good minute on/off camera. He’s just like me, he loves to talk and he might have talked a little too much. Let’s just say “LEAKage”, I think that sums it up. It was so much footage, but I just wanted to use the important stuff. I had to do away with most of the jokes and laughs. If I would’ve posted the entire Chet Childress interview you guys would still be laughing right now, dude is off the chain!!!! Guys I know you’re probably reading this and thanks once again for being soooo cool and for taking the time out to do the interviews with me. Get some rest and send package over already….LOL

Nice interview G-Roc. This caught me off guard. I’ve been wanting a pair of the Supa’s for a while now, I just cant spend $800. It’s even better to see that he’s a laid back dude. Daniel’s interview was priceless. I might do a slip on or blazer “are those popular”? lmao when I heard that. He cut up the Supreme blazers??? Say it ain’t so. Keep the interviews coming G.

Sole4Sole I think his FCs dropped in 2004. Can anyone confirm this? I’m 99.8% sure it’s 2004. I know they came in a pink box

Go G-Roc Go ha ha. Nike SB interview what next? Good music and great interview. It was good hearing what they had to say. Danny Daniel and Chet are crazy on the boards. I would have walked right pass them on any given day. Im ready for the second half.
