Kobe isn’t THE best player in the NBA, but the man does deserve his just do. He’ll never be MJ, then again, who will, but you can’t deny that his skills on the court may be the closest we’ll get to seeing a legend grow before our eyes. For those of us who grew up with MJ, there can’t be another, but for this generation Kobe is their MJ.
The Nike’s that bear Kobe’s name that are out right now, are quite possibly the ugliest shoe Nike has dropped this year. You can’t knock its technology, but still. The Adidas Kobe line gave way to a few nice kicks that a few people are still wearing today. I doubt anybody will be wearing those “waffle irons with soles” anytime past this year, so by default the Adidas line was/is better.

… Kobe is the best offensively skilled player in the NBA. But there is more to being a player than just scoring the ball. Kobe has all the physical gifts in the world to become the best player, but mentaly he just doesnt get what it is to be a leader. Even though he is a seasoned vet he still show alot of immaturity in communicating with teamates on and off the floor.

I do think that kobe is the best Player in the nba right now he has showed that he can do alot by himself. Kobe has showed that he can win without the people that he had. I like kobes adidas line better I think the nikes are ugly which i dont say about nike alot but the adidas one look alot better and i like the colorways better.
I feel that Kobe Bryant has become the best player in the NBA. Besides the fact that he can score from any part of the floor with ease, Kobe has made his teammates who are mediocre players into much better players because of his leadership and basketball iq.
The adidas kobe line is better than the nike kobe line, hands down. My personal favorite basketball shoe of all timeis the crazy eight and overall the looks and, from what i can see and feel, the performance of the kbe adidas line is just higher quality.
Kobe is indeed the best player in the NBA…that plays for the Lakers. The Nike’s will eventually surpass the Adidas, but for right now this minute, Adidas Kobe >> Nike Kobe.

He’s a great player but far from the best right now. Only time will tell if he becomes the huge superstar his talent shows us he can be, for his ENTIRE career. Nike will always outshine Adidas, no matter what happens. Hyperdunks shit on the KB8’s all day, it’s as simple as that.
1.) hell yea kobe is the best player in the league right now in my opinion, and no he will never be jordan… no one ever will, but he is one the few players that has the talent to be at jordan’s level. the man is a beast on the court, and he COMPETES… he is an assassin, only thing kb24 has on mj is right now is that kb24 is a better shooter(no d**k riding, i been kb24 since he was kb8 with the baldie, and adidas).
2.) kobe’s adidas was the best line except for the kobetwo lows (the spaceship looking joints), but every other adidas kobe rocked was on point… my personal favorites were the eqt’s, the kb8(crazy 8’s) the kb8 2’s, and the kobe. the nike line is boo boo, but i’m a fan so i got a pair of the zoom 1 and zoom 2, couldn’t do the zoom 3 though, they look like some spiderman type ish. “bamabwoy@yahoo.com”

Kobe Bryant is by far the best player in the NBA, he can make any shot. He can drive the lane just as good as LeBron and is a much better finisher then him. His jumpshot is easily top 5 in the league behind only Ray Allen, Peja, and Rip Hamilton. He is also the best player when the game is on the line. If the clock is winding down he’s taking the shot, and most of the time, he’s making it. Although LeBron beat him out for the scoring title, if Kobe shot as much as he did Kobe would average well over 30 points per game. His defense is outstanding as well which is why he made all NBA defense. Kobe Bryant is the most talented and most productive player in the NBA.
Kobe’s Nike line is much better then his Adidas one, for performance, or look. His most recent line, the Nike ZKIII, are very light, comfortable, and supportive. And the next shoes he will wear, the Hyperdunk’s, are the most high tek shoes ever. I mean foam from NASA, you can’t beat that. The Nike shoes also look better. Aside from the top ten 2000, Kobe’s Adidas line is very ugly. The KB8II, EQT Elevation, and the KOBETWO are some of the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. His Nike line is very nice, especially the 2K4 and 2K5s, and they are Nike so they come in many more colorways and styles. Plus they all look different, unlike his Adidas line which had two or three shoes that looked pretty much the same. Kobe’s Nike line is better in style and performance then his Adidas one.
First off, Kobe is, hands down, the best player in the NBA. There is virtually no player that can shut him down from both the perimeter and in the lane, excluding Paul Pierce in game 2 of this year’s NBA finals. There are a handful of players in the NBA that can drive well or shoot jumpers well, but only a secelted few can carry out both as effectively as Kobe Bryant.
As for my tastes, I have to say that Kobe’s Nike line far surpasses his Adidas line, in both beauty and brawn. Nike’s Kobe line is known as being the host of what many believe are the greatest basketball sneakers to date, including the ZK1, and in my opinion, the ZKIII. The ZKIII sneaker is the best sneaker I have ever used for basketball, and it doesn’t look too shabby off the court either. Bringing it back to Adidas, I personally believe that the Adidas Crazy 1 is one of the ugliest sneakers I have seen in my life. I haven’t played any ball in them yet, but I wouldn’t want to look OR feel like I’m wearing a pair of Silver and Yellow cubes on my feet.
1) I think that Kobe is one of the best right now but in history no. He is one of the best due to his speed, elevation, and teamwork.
2) I think that the nike line is better because they are more durable and better gripped than the adidas. Also they have a better style on most of the shoes.
1. Yes, I do believe Kobe is the best player in the NBA. He hasn’t proved that more than in this past season. He was always the best TALENT in the NBA, jump shots, in the paint, clutch shots and agressiveness. However, this year he has become the best PLAYER. He has physically and mentally adapted to his teammates and learned how to incorporate them into his play and the game itself. Allowing the double team and setting up shots for his teammates, as well as having complete trust in your team are two qualities that shone in Kobe this season. Every legendary player before him has recognized that you have to give up something in yourself to make the people around you great. Kobe has mastered this, and this is why he is the best player in the NBA.
2. I enjoy Kobe’s Nike line moreso than his adidas line. With Nike, he is allowed to give more of his input into the shoes, aesthetically and performance wise. He is allowed to incorporate the mamba snake, which makes for a slick webbing to accent the shoe. Performance wise, the lightness is a plus, yet the shoes still maintain a level of cushion in the sole that you find in many bulkier shoes. I feel these qualities make it a more attractive and comfortable on and off the court.

No doubt about it! Why? Kobe’s stats are rediculous! He’s THE BEST offensive player in this generation. I see a lot of dudes try to compare Kobe to Jordan saying he will never get to his level… Well guess what? He already surpassed it. Yeah, I said it! Kobe holds the second highest record in points scored in a single game, which is 81. That is fricken amazing! Jordan didn’t even do that! Jordan only hit 63! What made Jordan who he is is MARKETING! Let’s think about it here fellas.. if it weren’t for “Do the Right Thing” director, Spike Lee, and NIKE, Jordan would be no where right now. I am a firm believer that marketing has a major impact on Jordan’s career and how we look at him today. Kobe on the other hand is pure skill. He’s the Cadillac of all basketball players in the NBA. You can’t say that his game isn’t tight. Just watch him play. Wilt Chamberlain held the game down in the 60’s, Jordan introduced a new aspect in the NBA in late 80’s/ early 90’s, and Kobe’s just took the ball game into his hands being drafted out of highschool in 1996. All you Kobe haters.. PLEASE SIT DOWN!!!

Kobe’s Nike line is definitely better than the Adidas line only because Nike uses a much more complex technology in there basketball sneakers. And also, Nike has already come out with a couple of sneaker’s for Kobe that were mediocre, but I am positive that the craftsmanship on the Hyperdunk won’t disappoint any ball player.

Adidas; the Adidas line is classic.
1. Kobe Bryant is simply the best player in the the NBA. As a kid in the philly suburbs everyone seems to hate on him as my high school is rivals with kobe’s high school (LM Lower Merion Aces) but there is no flaw in his game. he is a complete player and has seemed to grow into the leadership role. He is a combo international and american player as he grew up in Italy so he plays with the flair of both areas. The only thing that separates him from jordan in my mind is 3 championships, the fact that he is not completely admired by the entire public and he is simply not as marketable.
2. the better kobe line has to be the adidas line. the nike line features some great shoes with better more advanced technology yet the adidas line was more flashy. it represented the things that kobe did at that time a player that was a high flying athletic guy not yet known for his completeness. his adidas line kept adidas in the race with nike and the stripes in his shoes were always coming from cool angles and not always just plain making the shoes extremely interesting. plus lets be honest the kobe two is bogus.

Killer Instinct… check. Championship experience… got that. Leadership… without a doubt. Kobe is the best offensive player in the game. He’s smooth to the basket, finishes with both hands, has a great midrange game, possesses incredible range, and his coach, Phil Jackson recently called him an “unstoppable force.†Defensively, he was the anchor for Team USA last summer. Superstars like Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony deferred to Kobe because everyone knew that it started with his focus and tenacity on defense. While Lebron James is incredible statistically, Kobe is a more complete player. Kobe shoots free throws well, possesses a post-up game and has handled the pressures of playing in Los Angeles.

Kobe’s Nike line is better than his Adidas line. NBA players such as Tony Parker are still rocking the Huarache 2k4’s on the court. How many other players around the league do you see in sneakers that came out four years ago? Additionally, the Nike Hyperdunk will come out later this year. How many other players around the league do you see jumping over Aston Martin’s in their sneakers? Lol. Plus, the Nike Zoom Kobe II’s are some of the best looking basketball sneakers ever. In the end, Nike takes the cake!

NO i do not think kobe is the best player in the nba. He is good but not the best. He still lacks leadership of his team and he has a good team. I am a Celtic fan boston rep. but that does disclose me from thinking one sided about him. To me he still has some qualities that he could improve on so he could be the best.
The NIKE line of shoes is way better than the adidas line simply because Nike comes out with more heat. Kobe and Adidas have teamed up to come out with some good shoes but it can never compare to the feel and look of a Nike check. This is tough. I would have to go with his adidas kicks. Championship rings don’t lie. I got to try on a pair of crazy 8’s at an adidas outlet recently and they feel amazing. The nike shoes have great tech and are innovative, but you can’t beat the style of a 90’s sneaker.

1 …. Kobe is the best because When looking at Kobe, you have to look at the whole picture, not just the stats and rings. Yes, those stats you mentions are not better than Lebron’s, and probably never will be. Lebron’s game is more of passing the ball, and getting to the rim. Yes, Lebron can take over any game he wants, but truth be told, Lebron still has some good players alongside him, Z, Gooden, Hughes. But the most important thing that separates Kobe from all other players, is that he does it both ways. Thats the key for me. Lebron, Wade, Nash, Dirk, they are all great offensive players, and Wade and Lebron do get steals, but they dont have to guard the other teams top player, and then have to turn around and be the goto guy. I think that is what separates Kobe from even Jordan. Now you say Jordan rarely saw single coverage, but then again, the L wasn’t allowed to play zone, so all he saw was single coverage. Yes, they did triple team him, but that was help defense. And then, when I think about it, who were the top guards back in the day that defended Jordan. I’ll give you Starks and Dumars, but thats about it. Kobe has to go against the likes of Wade, Lebron, AI, Melo, VC, and still has to be the top scorer for his team. Basketball is a two way sport, so just doing it on one end isn’t enough, you have to be nice both ways. Against the pistons in the finals, Kobe had to guard Billiups, Rip and Tay, throughout the entire series, depending on who was hot, because GP was getting killed, so was fisher and whoever they tried to throw at them. Stats only tell some of the story, there are so many other things that make a great player, his killer instinct, ability to lead and so on. Based on offensive ability alone, I wouldn’t put Kobe ahead of Lebron in this era, but add in everything Kobe brings, Defense, will power, killer instinct, and I would Kobe ahead of everyone that ever played, including the “great one” MJ. But, thats me. And before you say MJ had dee, think about the better defenders on his own team, Ron and Pip. So that meant Jordan got to play the third offensive weapon on an opposing team, maybe even the fourth and fifth, depending on the make up of a team. So, on dee, MJ got to relax and sneak around stealing the ball, or blocking people from behind, which is good defense, dont get me wrong, but its not guard you man, smack the floor, in your face, dare your man to score on you kinda defense that Kobe has. Case in point, a game against T-Mac while T-Mac was in orlando. Mac had 30 pts at halftime, before Kobe switched to guard him. Kobe had 9 pts at halftime. end of the game, they both finished with 39, but kobe did his scoring while shutting down Mac.

(1) Yes, Kobe is currently the best player in the NBA, not the best player to have ever played in the NBA. He’s the best right now simply because he is the most talently gifted player out there. Over the years he has taken his sleek, aggresive, and natural style and imporved it by combining more team play (assists, rebounds, passes, etc) into his game. Kobe is a natural on the court, and amazing to watch, definatley the best player in the NBA right now.
(2)I like Nike’s line better, but I like both, let me explain. Overall, Nike made more classics such as the ZK I China edition, and the ZK II Orcas. Don’t get me wrong, the KB8 I’s were/are tight, but after that, I feel adidas fell off. It seemed as if during the late 90’s, adidas was stuck on the “Feet You Wear” concept when it came to Kobe’s kicks. In my opinion, adidas should have dropped the FYW concept after the KB8 I and went off into a new direction; all his adidas kicks after the KB8 I are not special to me, unlike his Nike kicks, which are very special. Over all, I like the adidas KB8 I for it’s FYW idea, but like Nike’s Kobe line much better.
Kobe is a beast and if he’s not the best, he’s one of the best. That’s a hard one but I’ll say yes he is. I’m sorry but everything Nike puts out for Kobe is wack which explains why I don’t own any of Kobe’s Nike sneakers. I at least hope their good ballin shoes.
(1) Yes, I believe that Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA (In the PRESENT). I hate when people compare Bryant to Jordan, but if anybody wants to compare the two lets run the numbers. Bryant is the closest to a Jordan in rings, scoring, and etc. People want to jump on and say Lebron James is better than Kobe, it’s a joke Lebron is not even close to a MJ or KB. Lebrons number on his jersey is the closet thing this makes him a Jordan. Kobe never said I am MJ or better, Kobe is Kobe. However, let me remind everybody that Kobe Bryant is this year’s MVP, which means Most Valuable Player in the NBA! By the way, Lebron is great don’t get me wrong, his still young and his name will grow even more as time passes, but Kobe Bryant owns the NBA as the best player. In the past it was a love and hate for Jordan because he was dominate in the NBA preventing many players from getting a Championship. Also, I just want to say the I respect Kobe’s game. I know you are probably saying, “Your favorite team is the Lakers!†In fact I am a hardcore Sacramento Kings fan! (2) In my opinion I prefer the Nike Kobe line over the Adidas Kobe line because Nike never made the mistake of making mini car shoes, which was the last shoe that Adidas made for Kobe. I both like the Nike Kobe line and the Adidas Kobe line, there both evenly close. Both lines are very creative and stand out from the rest of the shoes. I love the Adidas Crazy 8 those are some sexy shoes, looks like grape balls.lol. The Nike Kobe 2 is also sexy because they look at a honey comb. The ugliest basketball shoe design that was ever made is the Adidas Kobe 2, it was so bulky. Just to let you know I do have these shoes, the silver joints lol. The only reason I bought them is because they were 75% off, so I couldn’t say no to the price. The performance for the Kobe 2 Adidas was Bad!

1) Simply tell us do you think Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA?
Yes. To me being the best player in the league means having the ability to do any and everything on a basketball court at any given time. To maximize your strength’s and sharpen your weaknesses. No matter what any given team does to Kobe Bryant on either end of the court he has the ability to react and respond accordingly. There is no area on the court where Kobe Bryant is unable to come up with a positive influence on the game. He can be a lock down defender on the other teams best scorer and even cause havoc with his help defense. He can create his own shot or be a playmaker. He has all the shots neccessary to score on anyone and anywhere on the court. If he decided to lead the league in assists one year I bet he could do it. If he wanted to be the best rebounding guard in the league he could do it. And when it comes to finishing a game or a series there is no better closer in the league than Kobe Bryant. In the end it’s not all the strengths that make him the best. It’s his lack of weakness in any area of the game of basketball that makes him the best in the league going right now. And all of this is coming from a tried and true Boston Celtics fan. I can hate the player, but I can’t hate the game.

I prefer his Nike line. I have tried on and worn several basketball shoes in my day. Nothing in his adidas line every really fit me right or served as a great fashion basketball shoe to me. His Nike line, on the other hand, is very fashionable and the Kobe Zoom Air one is still one of my favorite shoes to play ball in. Case in point, I have a DS pair of the Zoom Air Black Mambas in my closet. The only things those will touch are the hard courts found in any gym within the Northern California area.

Gotta go with Nike over Adidas on this one…..I have no idea what Kobe’s shoes look like for either company, but I’m black, and it’s in my DNA to love Nike over any and every other shoe company in the universe.

No, I don’t think Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA. He has the potential to become that, but currently he is only the best individual player. If basketball were a solo sport Kobe Bryant would kill it, but unfortunately it’s not. He is learning how to become a better team player, but still has a long way to go. I think people should stop trying to compare Kobe to Jordan for the simple fact is he is not and will never be Jordan, he is Kobe Bryant. I think it’s good to compare players but people take this comparison of Kobe and Jordan too far at times. Don’t get me wrong I think Kobe is a very good player, but I still think he is learning how to make his team better. Once he is able to do that then I think he can take the title of best player in the NBA.

I like Kobe Bryant’s Nike line better. Other than the fact I am a Nike fanatic, there are other reasons as well. I do like the old KB8 model that Adidas had released but compared to the Nike line it doesn’t hold up. Any of Kobe’s shoes for me, were exclusively worn for basketball. I couldn’t see myself wearing either line for casual wear. On the Adidas model the shoes are much more bulkier and one of the better things about the Nike line is the technology. That can make a huge difference when on the court.

1)Kobe Bryant is the best player in the game today hands down. His court awareness on both ends is unrivaled by other players in the league. When his offense is not clicking he makes defensive plays that open up the floor down the court and he will help the team through assists. His ability to finish in traffic/clutch shooting is the closest thing we will see to any other legends and greats of the game. Kobe’s Adidas line is much better than his Nike line. Technology wise I’ll take Nike over Adidas’ torsion anyday. However the impact that the Adidas line made is ridiculous! Kobe’s adidas line captured the era, made an imprint, stood for the walk of a legend. You could ball in these shoes, or just walk out the house and feel you were fresher than the next because your Kobe’s ate anything they had on His Adidas line captured the fervor of the late 90’s. The Crazy 8’s literally had peaks and different straps and facets just like the kid’s game. The spaceship shape and silver colorway of the kobetwo showed the change into a new millineium also a change into a new game. The league itself was changing. Kobe’s nike line could have been great but after his legal issues nike just threw him anything because he really didn’t have much choice but to take whatever he was given. Ok…let me explain something. There has been alot of argument and hoopla about whether or not Kobe is the best player in the NBA. Hands down, he is. Why? Well he has developed a work ethic and leadership style that seems untouchable in today’s game. Regardless of his past, people haven’t gave him the well deserved credit…by which he can make everyone around him better despite his past problems, take over the game at anytime, lead his team that no one thought would make it into the NBA finals, acquire MVP, and achieve numerous comparisons to MJ such as going for gold in this summer’s olympics (hopefully to match what only Mike did with a NBA title, MVP, and gold all in one year!!!!), mind you he’s a humble individual when it comes to the comparisions. He’s an all around dominant player who loves the game and plays every second to his best ability. DOwn to the sneakers…the Adidas wasn’t that bad as a signature line, but I’d have to say I liked the Nike series alot better. Besides overall better style, the Hurache series convinced me with its court durability and performance. 1. Well, there are man obvious reasons why Kobe is the best in the league. First of all the man dropped 81 POINTS! Regardless of the fact it was against the Raptors.. ITS STILL 81 POINTS. The Lakers were down that game, and suffering a losing streak against the Raps, Kobe starting scoring, and snapped the Lakers losing streak against the Raps. And this season, he’s been able to bring the Lakers to the top spot in the West, a feat which isn’t very easy to do, especially this season when teams are ranked around a 3-10 game difference. Kobe also has the ability to score at will, when Kobe wants the ball, he’s able to make amazing plays and drop mad points. He also gives some of the best defenders in the league trouble in guarding him, not that they can’t play d, but just cause Kobe is too good. 1) I do believe he is the best player in the NBA as of today. He has great offensive skills that can be contained by no man woman or superhero. He’s defense is overlooked as well. Another trait he posses is the ability to make people around him better as he draws double and sometimes triple teams, which leave killer shooters like Fisher and Vujatic open. He also posses a newly found talent of his, teamwork which in my opinion is the only reason, besides his stellar solo play why they are in the finals.
2) I personally like the Nike line a little more than I do the Adidas line. To me the Adidas shoes like the Kobe and The Kobe Two were just too bulky and heavy as all hell. Although I own one pair of the Kobe II’s to date. As for the Adidas KBIII 2000 and the Adidas KB8 I Original, I liked these better because they had more style and were just an altogether better looking kick. And as far as the Nike Kobe line, the Nike Air Zoom Kobe I, Nike Zoom Kobe II 2 ST, and the Nike Zoom Kobe III 3 are all pretty comparable to the Adidas line in style but, there superior technology on the court far out weighs there appearance. Honestly I enjoy both on the court and would take either off the court or into your local spot turnin heads.

1) I think that Kobe is hands down the best player in the NBA. Kobe is a proven winner and has that rare ability to be able to impose his will in clutch situations which has made him very success full. Not only is he virtually unstoppable he has now embraced the necessary role of making others around him better which is why the Lakers are currently contending for a NBA championship.
2)When thinking of Kobe’s adidas sneakers i just think different. The KB8I (now known as the crazy 8s)The KB8II, the EQT elevation (kinda were Kobe’s), the KBIII, the KOBE, and the KOBETWO were all extremely different. When Kobe wore those sneakers there were not many things similar to them on the court. Though his nike sneakers so far have also proven to be pretty different, especially one of his most recent the Nike Zoom Kobe III, they just do not seem to be good enough for the BEST PLAYER in the game!!! I think that is so being that his rep took a big hit a few years back but the fact that he even has his shoe today and has replenished his rep to what it is now is amazing and just speaks volumes for just how great he is. 1. Kobe Bryant will never be the Greatest Player in the Game. Let’s just get that out there, right now. Let’s just lay that out on the table and have at it, because this is the pivotal point to my argument. And for those of you out there who think so…Kobe will never be better than Jordan. He is not and will never be HALF of the player Jordan was. There was nothing you could do when it came to Michael…you could not shut Mike down…he would hit if and when he wanted to and even if he missed…he was one of the best defensive players in the league, he would shut YOU down, take your lunch money, bang your sister, then score the basket AND ONE, for good measure. In just 12 years, Kobe has averaged 30 points per game only 3 times and averaged around 5 assists. In 12 years, Jordan averaged 30 points per game 7 times and around 6 assists. I will say both are/were equally terrific guard rebounders, but 6 NBA titles don’t lie. And as sweet as 3 were for Kobe…he shared them with a 7-foot Hall of Famer who took the MVP trophies. Jordan took every trophy that came his way…it shows his sheer dominance in the sport he loved and played so dearly.

Okay, most of you probably will have said a couple common names: Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, and of course, Kobe Bryant. Allow us to take any one of those and compare them to Mr. Bryant for a moment….
Chris Paul v.s. Kobe Bryant / Let’s not kid ourselves! Chris Paul has turned more heads, racked up more rep, and made more of an impact in his first few seasons in the NBA than any rookie in recent memory. He turns the ball over only 4.8 percent every time he has possession of the ball. Insane! He is considered by many to be the next great point guard and has led the Hornets back from obscurity and almost to a Western Conference Finals. Kobe never has or will step foot to those numbers and bitched about no help for seasons before he finally got Pau Gasol…keep in mind this Kobe and Lakers team is still the same pissed-off, bitching and whining little girl who couldn’t get that favorite toy…the only difference is now their Daddy brought them a nice Spanish ice cream treat to hold them over.
We won’t even get into LeBron, who has put up more points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks then any half-a-dozen season pro at his position. He has led his team into the playoffs almost every year since he’s been drafted and even led them to a Finals trip with no more help around him than Kobe has had since Shaq left. And, there is a difference….he doesn’t bitch. He never gets in trouble and doesn’t publicize his problems with anything/anyone if he has any.
I hate beating a dead horse and maybe my argument should’ve been more fact-based, but this is an opinion-based Yard for the most part, anyway. So, have at me and say what you will, but I truly believe Kobe is nothing more than one of the greatest SCORERS of all time and a fading poster boy for the NBA who are trying to give him one last rodeo. However, to say Kobe qualifies as one of the greatest PLAYERS of all time and THE greatest in the game today…I think is an overstatement and one that needs to be reviewed once they have watched what LeBron, Paul, Duncan, and Nash do every night on the court.

2. Kobe’s Nike’s are above and beyond anything that adidas ever came out with period. I say this with confidence, for two simple reasons, they are hotter on and off court.
When it comes to aesthetics, they were trash. I could kiss my chances goodbye of getting with any girls by simply wearing a pair of those shoes out one night. Bulky, heavy and poor design innovation made these unattractive. Performance wise, the only thing they have over the Nike’s is their ankle support.
Kobe’s Nike line accels in aesthetics. The colorways are simple and go with each other very nicely. The use of the Laker colors is blended perfectly. They also trump the adidas’s in design. Both have a stealthy, airy look to them. The use of the webbing in the II’s only helps beautify the shoe even more. On court, the Nikes are light, have good heel support, comfy lining and a soft sole. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Nikes win.
Kobe is the overall best player in the NBA. The best teammate is another story. In terms of skillset – footwork, speed, confidence, defensive mentality, shooting ability, competitiveness – he’s got the whole package. Other players in the NBA have glaring weaknesses.
Lebron – footwork, Nash – defensive mentality, KG – shooting ability – just to name a few.
2. It’s hard to compare the two in technology because Nike has an edge in updated technology. Adidas will always have an edge in aesthetic design and retro appeal even if the Kobe II was bulky, creased like no other – the sunshine colorway is still a favorite. The Nike Kobe line took a major hit in aesthetic pleasure with the 3, but is slim, lightweight, and great for indoor play. I liked the Kobe for outdoor play, but it too was a little bulky for my tastes. So, in terms of design, I’ll have to go with Adidas. Back then the crazy eights were great for outdoor ballin. Performance you can give the edge to Nike. Since I’m just talking about visual appeal – I’ll go with Adidas.

with the kobe’s by nike and adidas i would have to say it is hard to truly compare the two on a general level the nike line was based more on creating an elite basketball shoe (much like how the jordan brand became after the 15’s) while the adidas line was based on looks and like david yang said “retro apeal” (jordan brand 1-15) however i am going to have to go with the nike line since i consider kobe sneakers to be more about being a good baskerball shoe rather than a sneaker that you match with and “making” its wearers to “play like” kobe.

NO, hands down Kobe is not the best player in the NBA. I’m so sick and tired of hearing that Kobe is the best player on the planet from the ABC Announcers during the broadcast of the NBA Finals. I will give him credit for being a great offensive scorer and he does play defense when he decides to, but this is the NBA finals why is the so called best player since Jordan guarding Rajon Rondo at least Paul Pierce took the challenge of guarding Kobe. The best player in the NBA wouldn’t let a 24-point lead slip away and all but take away his championship dreams. He wouldn’t wine and cry foul about wanting to be traded during the height of the biggest stage of the NBA Finals last year. Kobe didn’t take this team to the finals this year it was the addition of Paul Gasol that really improved the direction that the team was heading in. If the Lakers would of stay the same after Andrew Bynum injury the team would not have made it to this point.
So as we all watch Mr. Bryant the guy that wanted the Lakers team all too him-self melt down on the biggest stay of his career since Shaq departure. He is still the same old dry humor guy that gets pissed, yell, scream, and curse at his teammates when things aren’t going his way. What a waste of a MVP trophy to give to a guy because he had never won one and was overdue. All because he decided that the secret formula was to pass the ball a little more and at least try to socialize more with his team; it took him that long to figure that out. So what’s next from the GREAT Kobe would it be a trade this year after being down 3-1 or will he finally say they ran into a better team if they aren’t able pull it out.
