UNC Air Jordan 6 Gets A Release Date

Very soon!

Replace the classic Infrared with University Blue and you have the UNC Air Jordan 6.

A clean color swap like this seems like it would have released back in 1991 or even early 2000s. But that’s not the case because Jordan Brand will drop this new colorway this Saturday, December 2.

How do you feel about this colorway?

Am I the only one who thinks that the hype is long gone?

  • Executive 777

When I look at these I’m thinking that they are about 10 years too late.

  • Stephen Spears

Yes. Lol. better late than never.

  • I feel the same way.

  • Jordan hype in general or for this pair?

  • Executive 777

    Jordan hype.

  • theloverswineverytime

Agreed. That blk/baby blue combo is waaay dated, imo (? e’en though i got the unc foams & the last nubuck aj 12s).

    Not for limited releases.

Hmmmm… the cool factor is gone, but the hype is real. Retail price is insane plus there’s a drop twice a week.

I might mess with these when they hit the outlets. Black suede/buck 6s are always a good look.

I wouldn’t say long gone, but the hype is definitely weaker than usual. I think you can attribute that to ridiculously high production numbers and multiple non-OG retros dropping weekly. Supposedly, 2018 will be different. Maybe a limited Black Cement 3 will kick things back into gear for them. We’ll see…

I mean I ain’t complaining, I just don’t want those fuckers running back when it’s black cement time.?

  • i for one dont want the hype. i like where Jordan is for me. “good” footwear doesnt mean you have to buy a bot, spend a stack or wait in line for 3 days to get the item. they still release good stuff like this shoe. but like someone else said. its not “cool” well dammit im not cool. but i know im fly when i have em on talking to kids about God and saving money.
