Premium Plus Magazine recently caught up with Wale for an interview. Of course Wale talks about sneakers, he talks about the whole fusion/hybrid craze.
Nike and Jordan Brand understand that there’s dudes that wear Sean John and shit like that and still want to be fly and matching. It’s their thing. For instance, the [Fusion] IXs, they’re kind of aight, and the XXs. I’d wear them, but I wouldn’t wear them when I’m on my “sneakerhead shit.” I’ll wear them when I want to go to the grocery store real quick or let me go to this place wear I get my shoes stepped on a lot. Let me feel like I’m in some IIIs right now. Nah, I ain’t like the Fusion IIIs. Let me feel like I’m in some XXs right now, I’m not really, but let me feel like it. But, we ain’t going to step out the house like, “Yea I got some Fusion XXs!” That’s not what it’s for. It’s for like a Styles P or Jada, they’re not sneakerheads, but they appreciate Nike and Jordan. It’s not for us, it’s for them. The VII Pack that’s for us. We’re like OCD over shoes. – Wale

i got the retro VII’s already,,, but i dont know when the magic VII’s comes out… really??… this sneakerhead rapper sounds like a gimmick to me,,, but u still gotta respect the hustle

the hate on fusions continues…. so now that WALE has cosigned the insignificance of fusions I guess all the other followers will do the same.. the part that’s funny is he actually admitted to wearing them… so now all you so called haters are gonna get on all the websites and start saying the same crap…. but then at the end of the interview he’s asking people not to hate on spizikes!!!!!!! NO ONE CARES MY DUDE…… the only he said that is valid is DON’T BUY FAKES… a fusion is as authentic as any shoe….. His pizza analogy was lame as well… they got people that eat all kind of crazy stuff because they LIKE IT… as long as a dude has a heated collection they can get in these interviews and just talk wreckless… I’M SO SICK OF IT….
