I just heard the album…. I was very Impressed. This guy can make music! I mean quality music…. he passed lets see what the sophmore holds. I hope people actually buy the album not bootleg it because we all know that Shawn Carter shelves music.

Wale’s flow is verryy verrry trash. Album of the year? LOL do you know who else dropped an album this year? I need not to mention the other names. A lot of ‘sneaker heads’ just like this dude cuz he rocks Supreme/hundreds/sb’s/vintage jordans.. That doesn’t make an artist ‘good’ by any means. Wale is riding the Sneaker hype very hard, and his music doesnt speak for himself. his feet get more hype than his lyrics LOL thats bad for an artist.

The reason why I am saying this is because these guys have been getting all this credit and they havent proved themselves yet! Its true they are doing DECENT music… but tell me wale doesnt sound like a mixture if consequence and kanye? Im from VA and I support DMV music I like dudes like raheem devaughn THATS GOOD MUSIC… r&b or not.. that brother is talented and sounds like no one els… lets hear this album… is all im saying…. I bet you he will talk about shoes, his hard times….. I never said he wasnt nice I said that he sounds too much like other people. You gotta read man. I own Drake So Far Gone and I bumped it for a good month… just like the Carter III the thing I gotta say is these dudes mixtapes make their album sound bad…. they need to prove they can make a good album before I tag him as a good ARTIST! to be an artist show me good ARTWORK is all im saying…. I can give a damn bout sells and money…. Just picture the Mona Lisa with a white T and jeans…. will you say, “well thats original?” or would you say man… all hid did was put a whit T and jeans on the mona lisa.

Real talk most people critical of wale and other new rappers dont even listen to em. they listen to one or 2 songs and give em a grade when it takes ten times more than that to know. hey j_collector… trust me my dude…. I been listening to hip-hop since ’88. This dude Wale (and believe me, I was a Wale HATER “BIG TIME”) is not just giving you the content that all these rappers are dishing out right now….. You can tell he is actually thinking about the structure of his rhymes, the hooks the word play and collaborations. I was surprised at how well thought out the album is… Just my opinion.
