As against fakes as I am, I must say that if people buy fakes because they really want a sneaker like the What The Dunks but just cant afford it, even sneakers that go for just a bill or two, then you have to somewhat sympathize for them. They are merely trying to fit in to the social standards the world has placed upon our culture. They cant help it they dont make money like some people and arent able to afford the sneakers we go out and see and purchase right off the bat. Its great for one to break off and rock what they like and define themselves as who they themselves are rather than who we place them to be. Its all about each persons interpretation about the situation and what position they themselves are in. If you have the cash to burn on real sneakers, then go right ahead. If you rock fake sneakers because you cant afford 1200 dollar SBs and you want to fit in or just be you, then thats great. And as SoleCal stated, enough with the “my collection romps yours” or “you aint got fire and i do”. There are tens of thousands of people that will ALWAYS have it better than you. And flouting that you do shows how conceited and inconsiderate people are. Collect what you like and what fits you, dont collect to impress others or attempt to show them up, cause it really means nothing in the end. Ones true and own personal collection means the world to them, and that is all that important.

Real ‘sneakerheads’ don’t buy shoes to fit in or be cool. Most exclusive shoes are usually extravagant and outlandish, causing the general public to have the exact opposite view of the person. Disregarding admiration from close sneaker-loving peers, a typical sneakerhead is generally (and in a small way) outcasted from the rest of society.
The reason we buy sneakers is because of the internal feeling we get from them whether it be the challenge of finding the most exclusive pair or just the joy of being able to wear, in its purest form, a piece of art.
But when you buy and wear a fake pair of shoes, you lose all that value the shoe contains. You didn’t suffer or overcome adversity to claim this shoe. You don’t have a real work of art. You have a copy, worthless materials poorly combined to try to model something great. And when you wear that fake shoe, you might think its the same as wearing a real one but deep done inside you know that its just an imitation, that your just an imitation.
