One of the first major Air Jordan retro releases of 2013 is ready to make its way into retailers. Tighten up those laces and get the lawn chairs out because the classic Air Jordan 13 Black/Varsity Red will hit select JB accounts tomorrow. Whether you decide to call this colorway Black/Varsity Red or the “Bred”, one thing’s for sure is that these will sell out quick. The new retail price is set at $170.

I got a ticket at foot locker in mesquite tx and friday hits so I call them 2 see what time I go up there and pick it up and the they said that ticket is for a raffle not the actual shoe & they said that all footlockers are doin it. I didnt even get a pair cuz of that

@Nate. You are correct in many aspects. JB is raping everybody out here and raising the price 10 dollars more is even worse. Also people keep reciting this new quantity over quality motto, but honestly that isn’t even true either because the quantity isn’t getting any better, still cant go into the store and casually buy Retro’s. I understand your views as many shoe collector’s do but to go and claim that these are no better than fakes as far as quality goes is an idea that seems to steam from your aggravation toward the brand.
I got a pair over the weekend and I’m happy with my purchase as I was not able to afford them when I was younger. Now I can regardless if the shoe has 3m or not. Honestly though I’m not even a huge fan of 3m. I don’t really run at night sooo.. no need to be reflective at day time right?

I said the same thing about the 3M the other day in another thread. 3M serves no purpose whatsoever and half of the cats complaining that the shoe doesn’t haven’t probably didn’t even realize it until someone started complaining about it. It a material designed for athletes (runners or bikers) who train at night and need to be seen in areas where there is automobile traffic.
I bought a pair yesterday and this kid who was probably 15 said, “I’m not going to get them because there’s no 3M.” I’m not hating on the little guy because I was young once too but it’s interesting to hear such a statement from someone who probably wasn’t even born when the shoe initially came out.
I got mine cause i like the shoe design and i like he red black color way the best.. the materials and build quality are top and the shoe is much stiffer then the 04s.. the side part does glitter but does not glow in light an night which is fine the red is perfect and the naked eye can not tell the difference under normal viewing conditions..
This is a fantastic shoe… yes it is $20 overpriced but wats new that life these days..lol
I have enough shoes now and will only wait to see the Barkley posits oh and i may that the black friday AF1 when the price comes down from that silly $225 its at now…lol
oh and about the 3M.. i dont think its should be a deal breaker for anyone unless they wanted to train at night…lol IMOP…
I have a pair of OG air max 95s thate have a 3M crocodile print pattern that looks awesome even in the day and that is a big part of the shoe’s aesthetic coolness so in hat case i can see its value but on the 13s not so much..
