Remembering How Much Better the OG Air Jordan 10 City Series Was than the New Pack
Wishing it was 1995 right now, so this could be the City Pack releasing instead of what Jordan Brand is trying to feed us now. Back 21 years ago, Nike released five pairs of sneakers that each represented a city in a subtle, yet really dope manner.
Seattle, Sacramento, Orlando, New York, and Chicago were chosen to be honored. Colors were selected by the team uniforms associated with each city.
I hate to sound like an old 'head because I consider myself to be very accepting of the new era, but the new Air Jordan 10 City Pack for 2016 is absolutely trash compared to this.
When it comes to classics, there's no need to play around with textures and materials on the shoes. Jordan Brand could've simply reversed the colorblocking on the soles to achieve a different look, but maintain the integrity of the pack.
Maybe one day we'll get a retro of the 1995 Air Jordan 10 City Series, but for now these photos will suffice.
