Michael Jordan decided to wear his old size 12 "Chicago" Air Jordan 1's for his last game at Madison Square Garden in 1998.

A 13 was MJ's shoe size at this moment. However, shoes a whole size smaller didn't stop him from dominating the Knicks in what he described as the "Mecca of Basketball."

New York City meant so much to Michael Jordan, he wanted to do something special. So he broke out the old "Chicago" Air Jordan 1's to face the Knicks hoping to drop about 55 points on them.

He claimed his shoes are part of all the good memories he's had at Madison Square Garden.

Air Jordan 13's were sitting on the sideline as backups just in case Mike's feet started hurting during the game.

Watch all of the magic on the court in the video above as Michael Jordan erupted for 42 points (17-33 shooting), 8 rebounds, 6 assits, 3 steals, and 1 block. This is just one of the reasons the Air Jordan line is touted as the most iconic sneakers ever.
