Tinker Air Jordan 6 Release Date October 6, 2018

Continuing with its tribute of Tinker Hatfield, Jordan Brand is set to release a new colorway of the Air Jordan 6.

Michael Jordan celebrated his first NBA championship wearing the Air Jordan 6, and today we received information that a special Tinker Hatfield colorway will be releasing.

From the sketches we can expect less alterations than the recently released Tinker Hatfield Jordan 3 but more of a variation of the classic White/Infra Red colorway. Inspiration for the colorway is said to be from the Trainer SC 2 - another model designed by Hatfield originally released during the same time period.

From the product details, we know the shoe will be available in full family sizing. While we don’t have any official images at present time, you can take a look at a rendering provided by Pinoe as well as an image of the Trainer SC 2. The Release date is October 6th, 2018 with retail set for $190.

Look for this shoe to drop on Nike.com.

Hmmm.... good question

Very true. I think the importance of Tinker's early designs gets overshadowed by all the 50 million releases Jordan Brand is putting out. This stuff just gets thrown in the mix. I think it could be much better as far as launch and storytelling. Instead, it's like, hey these are Tinker's early designs now buy it.

The "Tinker collection" thing is pretty cool to me. If you look back at the sketches, especially for early Jordans, there's some interesting stuff in there. Especially, shoes that have some design modifications like the IX. I think they should keep going, but the shoes need to have something other than just different color blocking. Even though I dont like the 13 "prototype", I like the idea.

Could they not just release the shoe as just another new colorway?
