JuWop Game Worn Nike Collection Releasing Exclusively in Chicago
It's always refreshing to see a large corporation like Nike reward someone for their hard work and even better when they incorporate an individual who is active in making his/her community a better place. Sometimes the culture overlooks the community aspect and praises the hype or rewards the person who’s popping on the gram. Real influence is much more than that.
Chicago creative Juworkingonprojects who has been putting in work for a while but most recently went viral earlier this year with his bleached/paint splattered Levi’s Jordan 4, has reconnected with Nike for a collection centered around his hometown with an aim to empower the youth.
Juwop's vision takes form through 2 Nike heritage models - the Air Vortex (running shoe) and the Skyforce 3/4 (basketball shoe). Both silhouettes will carry the theme of game-worn and broken in as if each shoe had been played or ran in out of the box.
Ju’s concept will also be carried out via a summer camp on the SouthSide of Chicago with an emphasis on art and writing. The shoes will release via a pop-up shop at esteemed Chicago Boutique Notre exclusively on July 21st.
