This Sneaker Would've Never Hit Outlets For This Price in 2012
G-Roc
If you were connected to sneaker culture in 2012, you remember how sought after the Nike KD 4 was. Thanks to the hype of Nerf and Weatherman colorways, the KD 4 was one of the hottest shoes of 2012.
I refuse to give all the credit to hype because the $95 retail price and design also played a huge role in the shoe's success. As we all know, the KD 4 is still the best KD model to date. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
With all that in mind, it's crazy to see the KD 4 hit the outlet in 2018 for $79.97. Personally, I don't recall ever seeing a pair of KD 4s at the outlet back when they dropped. I don't even remember seeing a pair on sale.
A lot of that had to do with the retail price and demand. I know 2012 was years ago, but it's still weird seeing a shoe with so much respect make a surprising return, only to hit outlets.
I'm aware this has a lot to do with the colorway, but it's still odd to me. It's definitely a new day. In the event you had your eyes on this Battle Tested KD 4 Retro - heads up and happy hunting!
Would you cop for this price, and how many KD 4s do you own?
