35 Plus Years of the New Balance 1300JP
New Balance has followed a strict release plan when it comes to the 1300JP model, with a launch only happening every five years.
Time has come time for the latest re-issue of the style, and it arrives this month.
When the New Balance 1300 was first brought to life, it set new standards for a running shoe in terms of the quality and materials used, bringing a greater sense of craftsmanship to the running market.
This design has always relied on the original for guidance, constructing its tongue “NB” logo with the same 14 bars, stitching in rectangular fashion on the vamp, adopting rebranded Vibram soles, and affixing thick “N” logos to its side.
Despite most details being replicative, it differs in its paneling of Horween leather, a luxe touch that improves quality ten-fold.
NB’s Japan outpost is hold a raffle whose winners will be announced come a February 22nd release date.
