Are Sneaker Collabs Dead?

DAMRUFF

Very interesting topic but I think it personally comes down to preference.

For some reason I rarely get Jacques Slades videos on my YouTube feed (maybe it’s because I’m not subscribed to anyone 😂). I will say he got me to watch this video with the title and image. This video raises some interesting questions.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree?

with the market saturation, i would say that the exclusivity of collabs is dead, and has been since before another site ran with someones idea of showing me other peoples collections.

Gonna add my thoughts now. Honestly nothing ever fully dies as Nike SB has shown me. So while collabs may not be poppin right now that can change quickly.

I don’t think it’s dead, but I definitely feel like makers of the shoe feel they can put out anything and people will buy it.

Also, I'd like to ask to whoever wants to share their opinion:

What are the 5 BEST sneaker collabs from any brand in the past 5 years?

OH SNAP !!! DAMRUFF BACK !!!!

Eh, I've been saying this to myself and prob a few others for years. The appeal and allure of collabs is dead imo. That doesn't mean a brand still cab't knock a collab out of the park, but I think the cool concept of collabs has been watered down so much it's expected EVERY week like new rap album releases.

Like most new rap albums, most collabs come and go. Very few new albums have high replay value or any quality similar to most sneaker collabs.
