Dallas Penn’s Drop 10 (What Not To Wear): October 2015
The chill in the air up here in the northeast means one thing... Get ready for the Black Friday and Holiday releases. The month of October is mostly for tricks with only a handful of legit treats hitting the shelves. After the Laney 14s I'm pretty much set for the month.
Maybe you had your eyes on some of the shoes on this list? Well don't let my opinion stop you from filling your heart's desire, unless you were looking for a reason not to have a weak shoe game. Let's get right into it...
*Note the opinions of Dallas Penn do not necessarily reflect that of TheShoeGame.com
Nike LeBron 13 "Written In The Stars"
I'm thankful that Nike kept the first retail pricepoint of these shoes at the previous level which was still too high for a sneaker that is available thru Nike ID virtually the same day the GR models are launched.
Nike Air Foamposite Pro "White Gucci"
I'm gucci. I mean, I'm good. I don't need a white Foamposite Pro sitting in my closet for the next few months I'll be battling hurricanes, floods and blizzards. Maybe that is my NYC bias but I could also say that I'd rather spend the same gwap on the retro'd Gucci '84 Trainer.
adidas D Rose 6 Home
The Derrick Rose signature shoe has officially replaced the Penny Hardaway silhouettes as the most of injured player's signature shoe line. Maybe the D Rose Boost will have a better fortune.
Nike Air Max Sensation
Who really remembers Chris Webber rocking these shoes? Okay, who really cares?
Nike KD 8 "Easy Euro"
The KD8 is suffering from the same fate the LeBron 13 is facing. These shoes are priced too high at first retail and too many options for customizing them exists from the opening bell. Maybe the KD8 will heat up by the time the Black History Month models are released?
adidas Stan Smith Mid
A Stan Smith Mid is sneaker sacrilege on the same level that an Air Jordan 6 Low is. Don't disrespect the GOATs.
Concepts x Didora N.9000 "Lire"
I've been picking up Diadora shoes of late after their incredible execution of the Raekwon x Packer Shoes collabration. These shoes are made in Italy and I'm sure their quality is on pair with the other Italian made releases but this colorway reminds me of an Easter Egg and that means it's being released either 6 months too early, or 6 months too late
Under Armour Curry One "Birthday" PE
Under Armour has made a living off running with the Nike model for production and packaging but I think the Curry One has run its course already. Maybe if this shoe were nicknamed the 'Riley' I might be intrigued. Nah, I'm gucci.
Nike Air Trainer Cruz
I thought I might want to give this shoe a shot when I saw the all red version but now that I see this black model with the crimson lining I feel like I am being Yeezy'd to death by a Frankenstein Bo Jackson. This would be a sick shoe for ladies who wear black leggings as formal wear.
Bape x Undefeated x adidas Superstar
If I had seen the smoky snow camo first before this royal blue camo version I might have had a different opinion. I didn't even realize BAPE was still a brand. Ha.
