Was Mold the Cause for Finish Line Canceling Air Jordan 1 KO "Bred" Release?
Earlier today, Finish Line took to Twitter to notify sneakerheads the Air Jordan 1 KO "Bred" retro being cancelled due to product related issues that did not meet Jordan Brand's high quality standards. That's a very broad statement regarding Air Jordans, since the remastered quality hasn't been so consistent this year. What did they mean exactly?
Ever since Nike.com stopped selling Air Jordans to fix shopping issues caused by Bots, Finish Line has been the go-to retailer for Retros on Saturday mornings. Canceling this Saturday's retro release means it's going to be a lot more difficult to purchase Bred AJKO's.
Upon further investigation into the matter, loyal TSG reader - @Liziswaydope tweeted us photos of Air Jordan 1 KO's that were full of disgusting mold. Could this have been the reason Finish Line cancelled their release? Will other retailers have the same issues? It would be safe to alert your local boutiques to check all of their pairs in stock, so this mold issue doesn't get out of hand. TSG cannot confirm or deny that these pairs came from Finish Line at the moment.
UPDATE: Jordan Brand has a total recall in effect for the Air Jordan 1 KO "Bred"
