UPDATE: Barneys Temporary Shutdown Will Not Effect Yeezy Boost Release

Ray P

Barneys DC shut down today for various reasons that are currently unknown.

Entrances and exits to the retail store located at Georgetown are blocked off by yellow tape. Instagram user @SolexCollectors even noted there might have been a Yeezy Boost 350 heist.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock is scheduled to release on November 14 and fifteen different Barneys Locations including Washington D.C.

TheShoeGame has in fact reached out to Barneys DC for further comment on the issue:

TSG: Is your store currently open?
BARNEYS DC: No, sir. My store is closed for the day.
TSG: Is your release for Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost sneakers still happening or is it post-poned?
BARNEYS DC: Sir, my store is closed and that’s all I can say. Thank you.

The Manager on duty could not comment on why exactly the store was shut down. Nor could she give details on if it will effect the Yeezy Boost release on Saturday. Stay tuned for more updates right here on TSG.

UPDATE (6:24pm):

Per a spokesperson at Barneys, no Yeezys Boosts were stolen from the Georgetown store. The store will release pairs on Saturday as planned.
